This wagon does not live up to the quality expected the Step 2 name. First, let me start on a positive note. I had troubles with the wheel quality after I purchased the wagon and Step 2 sent me out a replacement set immediately after I called them. They sent these to me for free, but if I need new ones in the future, they are under $5 each, [...]. Also, I find the body to be made of quality plastic and is roomy with a nice storage compartment, and a beer, I mean, cup holder. I wish there were two storage compartments, or that the one was on the other side. The wheels are wide and it travels well in the wet grass. The wagon also has a nice handle that folds easily under the body. The short comings with this wagon are the uneven wheels and the steering design. With my wagon, only three wheels were on the ground at the same time. The right front wheel did not sit on the gound much of the time. I am positive that I assembled the wagon correctly. This caused the left front wheel to 'vibrate' excessively when right front wheel was not on the ground. In addition, the wheels are not exactly round, and this add to an 'up-down' ride. When the two front wheels were on the ground at the same time, they would not always travel in the same direction. When I received the new set of wheels that did not solve the uneven length problem. Therefore, I place a couple of washers under the right front axle of the wheel where in is inserted into the body to lengthen it and that finally solved the uneven problem. Now that all 4 wheels are on the ground, it does roll better. Greasing the wheels really does help them roll better. However, the wheels do not always want to go in the same direction. Another issue I have is witht he cheap way the wheels are kept on the axle. A cheap end cap us used and placed on with a guide and hammer. They give you extra because they know these will fail. I suggested a cotter pin, but they said it would ad to the cost. When I called CS, the rep told me they have NEVER had any complaints with the wheels being uneven or coming off. "This is the first time I heard of this" she said. She also stated that she has worked there for over 20 years. I wonder if she was being honest because I read all the reviews and this seemed to be a common complaint. Also, this is the complaint in general with this wagon on the internet.Regarding the all the positive reviews that do not mention the wheel issue, I find this hard to believe. The wheels are cheap, and the end cap situation is not safe. The CS lady told me that most everyone at Step 2 owned one of these wagons and that NONE of them ever had any issues. I am wondering if these are the same people who wrote all those rosy reviews. Maybe Step 2 gives its employees a free wagon if they write a good review?Anyway, for [$] at a membership club [...], I would expect the quality that I find in my yard cart. However, I will recommend this wagon because they did send me out a new set of wheels without any issue, and the wheels are cheap and easy to replace. One tip, do not store outside in freezing weather.
