4 years ago, we bought this for our nephew and now we have it back for our boys. I couldn't find it new for my son's 3rd birthday last week, so I picked up the Franklin/MLB Three Strikes Baseball instead. What a mistake! The whole ordeal highlighted the great things about the Fisher Price Tee I had taken for granted:

1. The Fisher Price tee works
2. The soft balls are great for small kids (our nephew took one to the face the very first time he played with it and thought it was hilarious)
3. The one-piece plastic bat
4. The lower price
5. The combination of D batteries and better parts

The only problem we've had is the bottom of the tee has cracked.

Overall, you will not a find a more exciting "cause and effect" toy for your toddler.

There is an explicit warning to use only Fisher Price replacement balls, however, the hard plastic MLB baseballs are great replacements, especially for the older kids who know to stay back from where the balls are released.

I purchased this for my 4 (almost 5) year old. When he swings he tends to hit the T. It busts apart every time. Sometimes it even comes completely off. I don't think he is using it any different then any other kid would. It frustrates him when this happens. I get that it's for beginners and that's why I think it should have been made more heavy duty and should be able to take a hit with a plastic bat from a 4-5 year old. We have been looking for a replacement, something more kid tough.

Comments about Fisher-Price 1001124 Grow-to-Pro Triple Hit Baseball:

The product I received was a different color and appeared much flimsier than pictures. I was disappointed because it looked very low quality. I never used it and ended up returning it. I bought one somewhere else and received the one pictured. The quality was so much better, much sturdier. The date on the one I ordered from here was 2012 so I believe I received old stock.

First let me say it was easy yet difficult to put together. I think difficult because I had a very small screw driver. Takes 4 D batteries runs great. I think my littlw guy is a little small and young for it but he doesnt care. He is turning 5 and loves it. Easy controls.
I think the only con right now is that it sometimes doesnt push the balls out. It like stalls out. But once it gets going its fine. I love it.

The set is easy to put together, just don't drop any of the 4 small screws. The downside it that it barley spits out the balls. Not good for batting practice for little kids if it can't shoot the ball more than an inch or two above the toy's opening.
