This past year my one year old son went nuts over them, so I figured why not buy him a toy set as this year's Nativity set? He loved it, I thought it was way too cute, and now I can't wait to pull it out for next Christmas:)

I have the original from Fisher-price. It's amazing. I of course checked out the in-store version and was EXTREMELY happy that the effort in ordering online paid off. There are some POSITIVE points to this version. This set IS smaller and does NOT light up or play music, BUT it at least comes with the wise men. Fisher-Price makes you buy 3 different sets to complete your Christmas nativity. Fisher-price's stuff directly from FP is BETTER but if you are just looking for an inexpensive BASIC nativity for kids to play with.....this is the way to go. You will pay 3x more going through FP.

BASICALLY....you want a FULL high quality set...buy from FP.

You want basic play set....Toys R Us version

I was looking for this seasonal gift for a baby shower. The quality of the product was excellent. The packaging was simple compared to purchasing this item in a retail store at the holidays, but that was okay with me. A great way to start teaching your children young about Christ's birth.

I love that this nativity set has so many characters, including the fun animals, and that the three wise kings look like they are of different nationalities. It will help in teaching children about religion and about people around the world of the same faith. I wish I had this set when I was a child so that I could've handled it more and not be off limits like a ceramic set. I can't say how durable it is as I just received it a few weeks ago.

The product was great! My only complaint was that it came in a white box with black writing on it. I was quite disappointed that it didn't come like it is sold on the shelf in stores, in a colorful Fisher Price box. Thankfully, the 3 year old I gave it to was mainly interested in the contents inside and wasn't concerned about the poor presentation of the box it came in.
