I just bought this storage box thinking that it comes with a set of trains but it doesn't. I had to return it. It's too pricy for just the wooden box.

bought for my son at christmas- we take it to family events where its a hit with children from ages 1-10. I just bought my youngest nephew one as well because he loved it so much. I think it is a little expensive but I obviously think its worth it to purchase another one.

I do know what people say about the latches as I have had it come apart on me at a restaurant yet I am not sure if it was operator error. I now make sure its lined up exactly when i take it anywhere

Great for taking multiple engines to other sites for playtime. Has it's own track on the box.

Perfect toy for a little boy in love with Thomas. He can play, store and take his trains with him on visits. suggestion would be to have a latch to hook the two pieces together.

I purchased this case for my 2 year old to see if he likes playing with trains BEFORE Santa went all out with a tain table. I was worried based on the earlier reviews that Chuggington Engines would not fit inside. This must be a new design, because all the Engines and cars fit without any modification to the product. We have Koko's new look with the paint sprayer car, a Brewster as well as the zoo cars. All Chuggington brands fit as well as the Thomas engines and cars.

Our 2 1/2 year old son has a Brio train set at home, so I purchase this box for when we travel. I also purchased it thinking it could have the wooden Thomas trains that would just be used on our travels so they don't get roughed up from everyday play.

I was afraid he would be easily bored without having all his track to assemble. I was surprised how much he enjoyed having the box available in our hotel room. He spent his time arranging the trains and cars; running the trains around the track; and of course requiring us to play the role of one train talking to another. The box is well constructed and easily opened and closed even by little hands. Clean up takes no time at all and we just carried it to our next stop.

Santa brought this for my 18 month old son. We wanted to use it as a base for building his set, and perhaps for carrying the trains during travel. You actually need the ascending track to use this as part of a set, and it doesn't say that anywhere in the description. Also, when used as a stand alone track, the two parts are connected by magnets, which are strong enough if it's laid on a smooth flat surface. If it is bumped or moved even the slightest (which by my 18 month old is frequently), the two parts disconnect and there goes the tracks. My son has already discovered that Matchbox cars work better than his trains on this particular track.

My nephew loves "Thomas the Train", so this was the perfect gift for him. At 2 1/2 it's the perfect sized track (he got a larger track for Christmas that he doesn't really use.)
