            This is a beautiful puzzle. The thing I like the most about it is that the art in the shape of the letter helps the child to memorize the letter faster and easier. They associate the shape of the letter with the picture. For instance, letter H is a horse. When my daughter was 18 months old, I would show her a regular letter H and ask her what letter it is. She would say "horse." She just turned two this month and knows almost all her uppercase letters. She can put the whole puzzle together herself. She says "V is for Violin" and "J is for Jellybeans."
            I would recommend this puzzle to anyone wanting to teach their child the alphabet.

            Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

                I got this puzzle for my son when he was about two and he loved it! The characters on the pieces made learning faster for him. I had a daughter about two years ago and have been looking for this puzzle since I was pregnant with her. I am so glad to have found it again, it's like a work of art!

                  Nice detailed pictures on each letter. My 6 month old likes to watch as I hold up each letter and say what it is and what the picture is. Be careful not to step on it or keep it in a moist area-- my board has warped a little.
