This game is so much fun! The whole family can play and I have an 11 year old, 4 year old and a 2 year old. It is difficult to find something they will all participate in. Bravo to this game!!!!

I bought this game expecting my daughters to not really use it appropriately. My oldest is almost 4 and autistic, and my youngest is almost 2. I am surprised at how well they play this game, and it teaches them to take turns. I taught them to put the leaves in themselves, so it's just one more fun step in the game and also is good for hand eye coordination -- but I could see how a previous reviewer would see it as time consuming, because it is. We also do a lot of counting with this game, counting the bees that fall, counting the bees as we put the in. Overall a great game for the price, and the materials are durable and kid friendly. We own upwards of 30 games/board games and we use them as reinforcers for my autistic daughters therapy -- and she always come back to this one as a reinforcer.

We purchased this for my 2 year old son and 3 year old daughter. Concept is easy enough, problem is that it is impossible (for the parents) to get the sticks into the proper holes to play the games. Set up for each game takes about ten minutes and the game itself takes about 2.

I like this toy because the pieces are sturdy and well-made and it allows our son to utilize a number of different skills. As a bonus, it's not too big.

i have a 2 year old and a 7 year old and this is a game they can play together. my two year old is just learning to play games and this is one she can play with my oldest daughter and they have fun together.

Kathy's review was right on. It is a fun game but the fun is tempered by the extremely long time it takes to set the game up. The leaf sticks get tangled and difficult to put in towards the end of the set up process and the bees seem to randomly fall through the leaf sticks throughout the game, even when the sticks aren't being pulled. Frustrating to a 3 year old (and her parents!).
Not sure it warrents the "Product of Excellecnce" sticker on the box.

My kids love this toy. They like to play with it as intended and they love to play with all the parts seperately as well.

We love this game. It does take a bigger kid or in our case a grown up to set up but since we play games together I am always right there anyway. We love it because it is fun for all ages...even the 2 year old can play!

This is a fun game, but an adult needs to set this game up and it is TIME CONSUMING. The little leaf sticks need to go all the way through the hive and it is very tricky as they get tangled up in the middle. It takes me 3 times as long to get it set up for the kids to play it and then they are calling me to 'get the rest of the sticks through' so they can play it again. Also, the hive needs to be turned by hand to set up their 'number' for each child which is sometimes hard for the littlest ones as they can dislodge the bees inadvertantly before they even take their turn. Cute game, but keep these things in mind.
