returned the first globe we received as there was a intermittent light leak around the center seam when the light was turned on. We received a replacement which has the same issue. The center should be tightly sealed. it looks shoddy and badly finished.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    I got this for my 4 year old granddaughter. She had been asking for a globe and I found this one in my research. She likes it especially because of the pictures of the animals on the countries. It makes it easy, for example, for her to find China because it is where the panda picture is! I know I will need to get her a larger and more detailed one in a few years, but for now, this is what she needs. She would not enjoy the more adult version as much as it wouldn't relate to what she wants to know at this age. I'm thrilled with it and am very, very glad I bought it for her.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
