I know a 10 year old girl who wanted a bed for her Ameriican Girl Dolls. When I saw that AG dolls would fit on the beds I ordered it. It seems solid. I didn't like the thin bedding. I made some in her favorite colors. Including "foam matresses'. Because it is white she can add decals to match a doll trunk I made her last year. If you are not a sewer or crafter I think most children will like the bed as is. This is a child who is very hard on her toys. I'll have to wait and see how it holds up. If it does I will probably give one to my great niece when she turns 3.

Will fit several small babies.

My two year old loves it. But we have to constantly monitor her around it, bc first she was swinging the ladder and second, she was attempting to get into the bed with the babies...

I don't like the fact that the ladder just lays against the frame and has nothing to attach to. We ended up just putting the ladder away. Also, the bottom of the beds are a heavy cardboard. So, if your child leans on it (or tried to get in bed with babies) the beds would buckle and the bottom would give way and might not easily be fixable.

I'd suggest for an older child. 3-4 years.

This toy looks very good when assembled. It went together okay. It was missing a few dowels. After it was together it didn't seem super sturdy. Thankfully my daughter is gentle with her toys so I expect it to last. However if my son were using it, it probably wouldn't make it over a few days because he is hard on his toys.
