We've been using this pail for nearly two years and it's been perfect. We use a washable bag in it and fill it to the top with cloth diapers. It's right in our kitchen, so if it ever smelled, we'd notice right away. But it never smells. Having said that though, I do empty it twice a week.

I knew I didn't want the expensive diaper pails so I received this one at my shower. It's an 'okay' pail. The deodorizer discs are worthless... I ended up getting a neutralizer glade air freshner thing and it works great. The diaper pail is better than just putting the diapers in the trash can and you can use any kind of bag so I guess that makes it worth it. Especially if you take out your trash regularly. Now if you live in an apt and have to haul your trash down somewhere I would invest in the diaper genie.

it has enough space, so u don't have to change the bag to often, but it doesn't keep the smell in!!! i moved it to a place in the house where i don't spend too much time, and it definitely can NOT be in the nursery 'cause the entire area will smell.

This item is a great value for the price. The spring the opens the lid broke after 13 months of use, so that is a bummer. I had to go out and buy a new one today, but for [$], it's not too shabby. We hardly ever have a problem with the smell. Only when it gets too full and needs to be changed. Not sure if the deodorizing dics actually help, but I do replace them when I remember. Oh, and the fact that you can use any trash bags in it makes it even better!

I have had this diaper pail about a year and it works great!!! I did not want an expensive pail that used specialty bags. This does the trick. The only time it gets smelly is when it is full and it's time to change the bag. It is also a big pail and holds a lot of smelly diapers!!! I would highly recomend this to anyone.

This diaper pail works great for the price. My sister recommended it to me after her baby because it takes regular 13 gallon trash bags (i.e., no trips back to the store to buy the specialized bags for the diaper genie). Also, the deodorizer compartment can take multiple kinds of deodorizers, so, once again, you can replace it frequently without multiple trips to a specialty store. The ease with which this can be used when compared with more expensive models has made me very happy. As a new mom, I barely have time to shower every day, so anything that is easy to use makes my life better!

If you're adding this to your registry, just know that they don't make it in blue and white anymore. It's beige now, which I actually prefer.

I bought this for our second child because I didn't like our old diaper genie. I liked that you didn't have to buy special bags with this and it did a better job at keeping the stink out dispite the higher copacity. (Nothing works 100% at that.) It also cleans up easily. My daughter was in diapers for 5 years and we still use it as a bathroom garbage can.

I love this pail! I bought it a year ago and had three kids in diapers. I still have two in diapers and need something big that holds alot. It's also nice because we can use it for regular trash if it's the closest trash can. It's so easy to use even my 13 month old can open it to throw her own diapers away. (She won't let anyone else throw them away.)I use the bags with the odor seal and only have an issue when the pail is ready to be empty. I like it so much, I'm buying one for the nursery at school where there are seven kids in diapers!
