A lady at the store recommended this item to me. I read the directions when I got home and applied it correctly. The directions said try not to have it touch any parts that have already been chewed...the sticky part was barely touching a tiny part of where the paint was taken off, so I figured it would be fine. I was wrong...it started lifting up the very next day, but not just in that area, the whole side. I needed the cover for the sides of the crib, so it was nice that I was able to cut it in half and use the one strip for both sides, but even the side that wasn't chewed has lifted up. I even used the hair dryer to re-warm the adhesive part and re-stick it...it didn't work. I am mad that I spent [$] on something that didn't work. I think I am going to make something out of fabric, instead of buying one made of fabric.

this product destroyed my sons convertible crib. When we removed the product it took the finish off the crib. We have parts of the gummie rail with wood stuck to it. Very upset...expensive crib and now we can't use the "foot board" we have no way of fixing it.

The first time I tried this product I did not read all of the directions and had not properly cleaned my crib's rail. I figured it could not be too difficult to pull back the tape and stick it on the crib. It worked for a while. When I called the manufacturer and we talked about how I had applied it, I found out that I should have read the directions first. I installed it again correctly and it is working wonderfully. READ the directions first!

put it on, followed the instructions, and 9 month old took entire thing off and was chewing on it in his crib...wondered why he was so quiet after he woke from his nap. This was the 2nd try on a plastic crib rail- 1st one- prince lionheart had such a horrible odor we removed it immediately. will now order a cloth cover and hope he doesn't untie it (unlikely).

I searched online for some sort of rail protector for my daughter's convertible crib when she started chewing on it. I found this product (it wasn't available in BRU yet) and ordered it. It worked wonders. I don't know if she even tried chewing again or if she just chewed on the rubber but either way it worked. The key is to put it on before your baby is old enough to 1) realize there is something there, and 2) they can pull it off. When she got older I had to replace a few pieces and that didn't last because she discovered she could pull it off but by that time she was old enough that she wasn't interested in chewing on the wood anymore anyway. I am expecting baby #2 soon and I might just go ahead and put this on the crib from the start so baby never knows any different.

I put this on my son's crib yesterday after picking it up from BRU. I followed the instructions to a tee allowing it to adhere for the recommended 8-10 hours. This morning when I went in to get my son, about 6 inches of it was peeled up already, and my son had flakes of the crib's finish in his mouth.

I have emailed the company to see if I can get a replacement (since it's $14.99 down the toilet!), but now that it has ripped up the finish on the crib rail, I don't know if it will ever adhere properly.

I do not recommend this.

This product was a absolute waste of money. We had it on for two days and my 9 month pulled it right off. The adhesive is garbage. We followed the instructions and it was still easily removable by an infant. Also please note, unless your crib has a perfect squared off rail, it doesn't not easily adapt. I would recommend a cloth one you can tie on for $5.00 more.

I saw this item and even though the ratings were not very good I bought it anyways because, I wanted something that was clear and easy to install and of course something that will stay in place, unlike the pads that slip and slide on the railings. I LOVE IT! I bought this items when he was about 8 or 9 months and it's worked great! I installed it when he was young enough to not really notice it so he thinks it's part of his crib, therefore he doesn't pick at it or anything. He is now a year and a half years old and I have had no problems with it at all. Basically if you install it early enough and you put your weight into it when you put it on the railing you should have no problems at all with it, and it should last a long time.

We have been very pleased with this product. Instructions were easy to follow and it held up for 2 years. It did pull up the veneer the littlest bit where my daughter had knawed on the rail quite a bit. Otherwise it pulled off very easily, without incident.
