Not particularly thick, and the bends where it folds are completely without padding, but my 2-year-old will use it for naptime, which was it's intended use.

When picking up item, I inquired w/Customer Service Rep about quality concerns stated in reviews indicating item broke on 1st day of use. Customer Service Rep told me should anything happen, I have 60 days to return product for exchange or full refund. She also said she owns the product herself and her children use them to watch TV. In her experience, she has had no quality issues and says it stands up to standard use and abuse by children. For the price paid, its well-worth buying because the worst that can happen is returning the item for a refund or exchange. Many similar products are so much higher-priced and it really isn't worth it just for use in a preschool/Kindergarten program. TRU price for these items is even lower than bulk-rate wholesalers give Child-Care Providers for similar mats (recommended item to friend who owns DayCare and to daughter's preschool teacher).

I was so disappointed when I opened this nap mat. It was cheap, flimsy, and completely uncomfortable for my daughter. Would not recommend. Needless to say, I had to go exchange it for something else.

I needed to replace my daughter's Kindermat for daycare a.s.a.p. as it managed to get a large tear in it. Being that actual stores only sell napmats during "Back to School" season in August/September I was having a hard time finding a replacement. I was sooo relieved to find that not only did Toys R Us's website have a similar mat...it was on sale! [...]The mat thickness was exactly what my daughter needed for daycare and she LOVED the purple color rather than her old red and blue one. The daycare had no idea Toys R Us sold them and seemed just as impressed with the pricing and product.

Great deal for the price. Not the "fanciest" but serves its purpose. Easy to clean, comfortable for the children to use at nap time. Folds up great for storage in the closet or other tight space.

Highly recommend for anyone who needs a nap mat on a budget.

Also great for using under a cloth style nap mat with little padding.

The kids love to pull these out to lay on to watch movies, use as mats to tumble on, etc. Multiple purposes!

I would not recommend for an older child - due to length. My 5 year old uses this to watch TV with no problems.
