My husband and I spend a lot of time outside - walking, jogging, playing disc golf. So we invested a lot of time looking for a good all-terrain stroller. Particularly, we were looking at the Bob Revolution, which all my friends insisted was the absolute best. Well, they were wrong...

The Chicco Active is absolutely fantastic - and better than Bob - for a few reasons. They are very similar in size, so not much comparison there, and I found that they both maneuvered equally easily on rough and smooth terrain. However, there are some important differences. First of all, the Chicco stroller stands when folded. Not only is this good for storage purposes in the garage, but it also makes putting the stroller in your trunk a lot easier and keeps the stroller cleaner because it's not lying on the ground. The Bob stroller flops open a lot after you close it and does not stand up when folded. Additionally, the Chicco, in my opinion, has a larger storage basket. My husband has a large disc golf bag, so the more space, the better. Thirdly, the Chicco has a height adjustable handle. This is HUGE because my husband is almost a foot taller than me, so neither one of us has to compromise on comfort. I also like that the Chicco has a parent tray where I can store a bottle of water, my cell phone, and my garage door opener when I jog near my house. Another reason this stroller is so great is that it has a HUGE canopy and adjustable reclining seat. The seat is a BREEZE to adjust with one hand and is super quiet so as not to wake a sleeping baby. But, the best thing of all about the Chicco is that it has rubber-filled tires. Unlike the Bob's pneumatic tires which can deflate after sitting unused or pop if punctured, the Chicco's tires are always ready to go!

And of course, it's just the icing on the cake that the stroller is compatible with one of the safest car seats out there. And no adapter bar is required!

I returned this stroller 4 days after purchasing it. We took it on a walk on the sidewalk, through a park on grass, & to the grocery store, no rough terrain. The first day the brakes wouldn't work & one of the wheels started making a clicking noise because a small plastic piece fell out of place. I bought it because I lived the prospect of snapping in my Chicco car seat. We have the very lightweight $99 Chicco stroller that the car seat snaps into & it's great for indoors but feels like it's going to fall apart on the sidewalk. Well this stroller is made out of the same plastic. The shocks seem to be for looks it didn't seem like they made the ride any smoother. It was very bulky, took up the whole trunk in my Nissan maxima & was awkward to put in because of how the front wheel folds. It also wasn't smooth to push, the front wheel didn't pivot well. I bought the BOB instead & it's definitely worth the extra money.

Comments about Chicco Activ3 Jogging Stroller - Equinox:

I use this stroller for walks on a very bumpy sidewalk. It is a smooth ride for a kid that falls asleep immediately. I have a preemie so she is growing slowly and I use the car seat in the stroller. It sits in the stroller very easily. The awning doesn't extend as far as I thought it would. With the car seat it is no problem but when she gets old enough to sit in the stroller without the car seat I'm not sure there will be much shade. Overall I'm happy.

Comments about Chicco Activ3 Jogging Stroller - Equinox:

My baby is four months old now and I have used this stroller almost every day to walk (fast pace for exercise). I've loved this stroller! I look forward to jogging with that when she is older. I like what a smooth ride it provides for baby even over rough terrain. The street in my neighborhood are lined with beautiful old oak trees but their roots make the sidewalks treacherous. With the Chicco Active stroller my baby sleeps soundly even though we routinely have to off-road and roll over big bumps. The generous sunshade also Helps her get a good nap, no matter the time of day. I also like how the brake and wheel lock are on the handlebar. This makes it very easy to adjust the wheel: I keep it locked when I'm walking straight but when I need to turn I release the lock so the stroller will swivel easily. I can't imagine what a pain it would be to have to kneel down by the front wheel to lock and unlock it every time I wanted to turn. I generally keep this stroller set up in the entry to my house but I like how it can stand on its Own when folded up. You could easily fold it and stash it in a coat closet, if you're lucky enough to have one. In my opinion, the only downside to the stroller is how big it is. It was very difficult to get It in the trunk of my Jetta but it fits fine in my new Ford Venza. Like all jogging strollers, It is heavy and bulky and not a good choice if you just want to stroller to run errands with. Another possible flaw is durability. Although I haven't had any trouble, this stroller does seem to be made mostly of plastic. When compared to some of the other jogging strollers, it does not feel as durable; however,it is holding up fine for me so far! My favorite two things about the stroller are: first, how it seamlessly integrates with other Chico products (I have the Key Fit car seat and the Lightway Plus caddy/umbrella stroller) and second, how it comes with everything you need! Many of the other popular jogging strollers require you to buy a lot of extras, such as a parent console, a car seat adapter, etc. The Chicco Active stroller comes with everything which I think that makes it a great buy.

Comments about Chicco Activ3 Jogging Stroller - Equinox:

I go on an off-terrain 3-mile bridle trail near my home with this stroller. It was great for the first few months especially when I needed to get out of the house with my newborn but she wasn't big enough to go in a carrier and wasn't loving being in a carrier. It takes an infant car seat which was a major plus. Haven't had any issues with tires or other things - own for 4 months so far. I look forward to using it in winter as I feel it will handle perfectly fine.

Pros - handles rocky paths just fine (as well as bumpy sidewalks!). Folding is relatively easy (takes a couple tries to figure it out and can do 1 handed). Parent tray at top is nice for keys/phone/small water bottle. Adjustable bar. Very easy to maneuver. Hand breaks and lock for front wheel for jogging.

Cons - bulky/heavy, very small undercarriage space. A bit pricey but we got it as a gift.

Haven't tried as a jogging stroller but it does the wheel lock for the front to keep it fixed.

This Jogger makes walking in the city on our horrible sidewalks a breeze and Jogging on the track smoothe. I can just take my Keyfit car seat and click it on to the jogger. The hand locks make securing the stroller so easy and simple!

I really like this stroller! It's so nice and pushes so smoothly! I am not a runner so I cannot review that aspect, but I live in a rural area and this stroller pushes great over gravel and in the grass. My friend just has a standard stroller and you can really tell the difference on how nice it pushes. My husband even enjoys pushing the stroller because you can adjust the handle more for his height. The only thing I don't care for about this stroller is that it's pretty big, it takes up the hole trunk of my GMC Terrian. Overall great stroller!
