This is an amazing product! I got it as a gift from my sister who used one for both of her kids. It's lightweight, easy to put together, sturdy and best of all has space for clothes or diapers and has a hamper built in which is great! I have no negative comments or ideas to make it better simply a very good product! Would completely recommended to anyone having a baby.

I have had this play yard for 2 years now. (I registered for it and my MIL gave it to me.) I am honestly surprised to see the almost complete lack of negative comments about it. I find this play yard to be average at best. Honestly I wish I had purchased something different.

If you plan to travel much, and are looking for a travel crib, this play yard is not the best option. Search instead for travel cribs, and try to find something smaller, lighter, and more durable. One important quality in a travel crib is that it should fit easily through doors. This play yard does not.

This play yard is easy to set up if you only plan to do it once or twice. Not a quick and easy task for your weekend getaways. It is difficult to transport, and awkward to carry. The bag provided is thin and cheap, and tore easily. The changing station is a hassle to build and break down. After the first trip, we gave up on it. We just carry the play yard itself in an LL Bean rolling duffle bag.

I would not recommend this play yard for an infant to sleep in on a regular basis. The pad provided is a layer of fabric over a board. The fabric is scratchy and has an uncomfortable texture. I tried adding a quilted mattress cover and sheet for softness (which the safety warnings tell you NOT to do, but there is no way my child could sleep on this pad alone), but standard play yard bedding does not fit, so I had to do quite a bit of alterations so that I did not create a suffocation hazard. My son never slept well on this. It made vacations difficult and he never had fun because he was not rested.

Our mobile was defective upon arrival as well. We have never used it.

I do not think this play yard is a good value. You could spend the same amount of money on something much more light, compact, comfortable, and functional.

Comments about Safety 1st Satellite Premier Play Yard - Casablanca:

We bought this for our daughter so we could keep her in our room beside the bed for a bit after she was born. We love the bassinet feature, the changing table, and the storage. It really made middle of the night changes much easier. We put a trash bag inside the "hamper" and used it for dirty diapers instead of laundry... Not sure why you would need it for laundry really.

Two things I wish were different is the weight limit on the bassinet. I read that the limit is 14 lbs, and my daughter is the 98th percentile so at 3 months she is already over that. We have since moved her to her own room... But it would have been nice to keep her close a bit longer. Also the padding could be better... You can feel the hard ridge in the playmat where it folds up.

Comments about Safety 1st Satellite Premier Play Yard - Casablanca:

I traveled to Japan alone with my twins when they were only 8 months old, and took this play yard round trip with us. I luggage checked it, and had not a single problem. It was easy to travel with and survived all that bouncing around and half a dozen connections, so it must be mighty sturdy! The fabric on the backside of the mattress is starting to tear at the bend a bit, but only after a trip to Japan and an Alaskan cruise.

Comments about Safety 1st Satellite Premier Play Yard - Casablanca:

My wife and I where very excited to have gotten this particular play yard for our newborn son since it has all that storage and extra features. We have had 2 in as many weeks. The first one that we had one of the legs that connects in the center was broken off. The exchange at the store went smoothly, except that I should have checked it out in the store before we left. Now the problem is that all 4 of the buttons on the crossbars that are used to lock and unlock the bars for assembly are ALL broken. Was very suprised to be having this much trouble from Saftey 1st. We have had things from them in the past that were great and now this. Will probably never buy anything else from them.

Comments about Safety 1st Satellite Premier Play Yard - Casablanca:

This pack and play is nice. I like the changing station with hamper and shelving that is very handy. HOWEVER...taking this down and folding it up is extremely difficult. I have handled several pack and plays over the years with my first daughter, nephew, cousins, etc and this one is BY FAR the most difficult to push the buttons on the side to fold. After struggling with it for quite some time, I finally got it after bending my nail backwards! (Ouch!!) So if you plan to use this for naps, etc and leave it stationary for most of the use, it should be perfect. But if you plan to pack this up for travel, I would recommend trying something with easier buttons on the sides to push.

Comments about Safety 1st Satellite Premier Play Yard - Casablanca:

It is huge, slightly smaller than a full size crib! (only shorter) I am please with the hard padded floor/bassinet bottom that comes with it, I bought the matching sheets to go over it for easy cleaning. I didn't buy this for travelling so that is good considering this is very heavy and bulky! Along with having to take off the changer and storage every time you would pack it up to go somewhere. If this needs to go with us, I will be leaving the changer portion at home for ease of packing and set up.

The changing portion of this is at a good height and has enough storage pockets below it and the hamper works nicely.

I'm more excited for the Graco TravelLite pack 'n play for the camper/hotel stays since it will be smaller and lighter!

I love everything about this product. It took about ten minutes to put together by myself and is very well made. When baby arrives, we plan on letting him sleep in the bassinet insert for the first few months. My favorite feature is that the changing table is offset, rather than hovering over the bassinet as several other brands do. The storage/hamper area will make for quick changes in our bedroom rather than going all the way to the nursery.
