I started using this product for diaper rash, which it cleared everyday! But, my son also loved having it put on him, it is just really soothing and kept him mosturized and happy. I also found that it worked for bumps and red places on his face, which it also cleard up immediately! It is gentle, soothing, and multi-functional! We now have a second baby on the way and we will keep this in stock. Every baby needs this!

After trying the butt paste on just a red bottom for 2 days and not seeing any results I whipped out the desitin creamy and it was completely gone by the next morning. We use it as a preventative during most diaper changes and still haven't seen one diaper rash and my baby has sensitive skin.

Very very pleased with the product.

whenever i put it on my sons diaper rash, he would scream and thrash around as if it hurt. so to test it, i put some on a cut i have on my arm, it definitely burns really bad.

the original version doesnt burn and works well, and so does buttpaste.

This would be okay for preventative, but not for treating. When you look for a rash cream, it is the ZINC OXIDE that clears up the rash. Most of the creams/pastes have between 7 and 13% Zinc oxide. The ORIGINAL DESITIN (purple label) (not creamy/blue label) has 40%. If your baby has a little reddness, that will clear it up within hours. I actually returned this after I tried it.

It cleans off better and smells better than the original, but has less than half the amount of Zinc Oxide, so it doesn't work nearly as well.
