    While I was mostly thrilled with the giraffe, I ended up returning it.

    THE GOOD:

    Despite having a disclaimer that it takes 2-3 weeks to leave the warehouse, they shipped it 10 days after I ordered and it arrived a mere 3 days later. (That disclaimer is no longer up, perhaps it was a Christmas thing...either way, I got the giraffe before Christmas.)

    It was wrapped in plastic, and given the snow it arrived in, that was a very good thing.

    The giraffe was absolutely GORGEOUS! An incredibly sweet face, and detailed markings on the body.

    I was able to return this to my local Toys R Us without issue, and they refunded my credit card. (Despite the invoice saying it must be mailed back and that a store credit would be given.)

    THE NOT-SO-GOOD:

    One eye was majorly scuffed. When I opened the box, there was no padding whatsoever to keep the giraffe in place, so apparently it was banged around during shipment.

    There were no arrows on the box to direct which end it should be set on - meaning my giraffe could have been shipped with all its weight shoved down on its head and horns. It was smushed, and since the head is shaped with styrofoam, there was no way to fluff it back up.

    The patches didn't line up in the front, they were off-set which was disappointing in a product of such otherwise high quality.

    The giraffe did not match the giraffe in the pictures on the website. The facial features, the coloring, the print, and the SIZE are all different. If you look at the picture at the top of the Toys R Us site, then scroll down to look at the further set of pictures, they are different, and the one with the little blonde boy has been PhotoShopped. At this point in time, you'll be receiving the top photo of the softer-colored giraffe. This wouldn't be an issue if it were the same giraffe with different coloring...it was beautiful...but the SIZE is also completely different. The giraffe I received is slightly shorter than the original at the head, and the hip-height is about five inches shorter. The length is shorter and the width is much slimmer in the new model. In other words, the old version is much more substantial than the new one, although they are almost the same height at the head. (See my attached picture.)

    When I went to return the item in its original box, it took about ten minutes to cram it into my car, all seats down.

    It is cute and my daughter likes it. However, it was given to her as a birthday gift and we have no where to put it. I honestly don't know what to do with a five foot tall stuffed giraffe. You can't put it into a storage bin, and it's really creepy to shove in a closet because the eyes catch any light while in the dark. I'm still trying to figure out what the giver was thinking. Yes, it's a gift and we appreciate the sentiment, but what do we do with it now?

          This is wonderful and looks real. After reading the reviews I knew my grand daughter needed this( or did Grandma need this?)The one bad review is stupid, just becouse you don't know what to do with it! Are you kidding?                 This was a Christmas gift for our Newborn Grandson Jr Mint.
                A 5' tall Giraffe that he will get years of enjoyment from. It "fits" perfectly into his jungle theme nursery.
