This is a great sound machine. I like that it plugs in to the wall. Sounds are like normal soother sounds- we like the ocean and rain. The volume is adjustable and has good sound levels. There is the option to keep it on all night or just for a short time and it will auto off. It is small enough to sit on side table in a nursery too.
I don't have any complaints.

The sounds were great but the volume was a joke- you would have to leave the machine in the crib with your child in order for them to hear it, just buy the happiest baby on the block sounds cd-

This product it not that loud -- I agree with the other shopper, buy the Homedics products -- it also has a light machine, which is a great added feature.

We bought one of these over 6 years ago and again for our 1 year old when they were born. We listen to ocean with thunder. Our boys can sleep through a major thunderstorm and not wake up. The house could shake and they wouldn't wake up from the thunder. It's very nice b/c it drowns out the noise - the dogs barking, etc. I buy this as a gift for every mother to be. It's a MUST have!!! We even take it when we go on vacation!

This is perfect for babies with colic and ones that sleep light. After reading the comments I was worried about how loud it was. At full volume it is very loud and I can't imagine anyone needing it any louder.

We use this with our 6-month old baby girl and have been using this every since we got her home from the hospital. I turn on the combo sound of ocean and seagull and she just loves it. I turn it on religiously every night irrespective of her needs :-) She has been a darling in every aspect and I think for the sleep part of it, this product has made it all the more easy..Again, my personal opinion is some things work for some babies and some don't!!! So try it out and see if your angel likes it, as each baby is different in his/her own sweet little way :-)
