I bought the Arm's Reach CoSleeper "barely-used" 9 years ago for use with my first child. Except for a few blankets, I don't think one single baby gear item has survived all four of my babies. I love that my baby is right there beside me, but not in my bed. It made nursing and night changes SO much easier. It also made it easy to transition the baby to the crib at 3 months. After I used it as a cosleeperI used it as a changing station, then I put it in the kitchen as a play pen while I cooked dinner. It has been pooped on, puked on, peed on, taken to Grandma's, washed, sanitized, and stored away more times than I can count, and it is still in superb condition. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

I use the co-sleeper for my newborn twins. This is the full size co-sleeper.
Pros:
1. It's big enough for both of them & all their stuff (diapers, wipes, bibs, hats, burp cloths and the positioners they sleep in.)
2. It's nice looking.
3. It fits through the doors (just barely) to move from room to room. I put furniture sliders under the legs so it slides across the carpet. It won't slide without those.
4. It comes with 1 fitted sheet. I bought an extra.
5. The side pockets are handy.
6. If you have the right type of bed to utilize the dropped side, I imagine it would be extremely convenient.
Cons:
1. It's so big that it takes up most of the length of my bedside making the space for me to get in & out of bed quite small (between the sleeper & my nightstand.)
2. If you have any side boards to your bed, you cannot get it close enough to use it the way it was intended because your baby could fall through the space between the sleeper & your mattress. The side that drops down does not do so like a crib; so, you can't just pull it up & down when you feel like it.
3. You absolutely need the leg extenders (sold separately) if your bed was purchased in the last 20 years.
4. The sleeper is a little wobbly with the extenders.
5. It was extremely difficult to assemble & my hubby is a pro at that kind of stuff. He said the directions are mostly pictures, not text & are misleading & incomplete.
6. They say that it could be used as a changing table, but it is not tall enough even with the extenders & kills my back whenever I change diapers in there.
7. It is NOT easily transportable to any destination other than another room on the same floor because it is heavy and extremely difficult to assemble.
Overall Impression:
If they could redesign it to address the cons, it would be fantastic & I'd highly recommend it. However, as is, it is a disappointment. I am using it, though.

Comments about Arm's Reach Concepts Arm's Reach Original Co-Sleeper - Natural:

Bought this co-sleeper based on other reviews of twin parents. This is a comfortable and convenient item. At this time we're using it as an alternative to the crib upstairs since I had a C section. I wouldn't describe this item of being light and easily portable. It is sturdy and can be packed up to move to various locations. I also think having at least one or two mattress covers would be ideal. We used a small mattress protector for the main area but still needed a back up mattress cover.

So happy to find this product at your store! TOYS R US in the U.S.A
My husband did not find any information on HOW to put this crib together, so that was very frustrating for us both.
For the price I paid (over $200.00) I suggest you put something together in writing, and include a SET UP INSTRUCTIONS brochure for future families buying this product.
It would look and BE more professional and extremely helpful if you did this.
    Thank you!
    Otherwise, everything else is SPLENDID!

An Essential for Us with Our Twins

Comments about Arm's Reach Concepts Arm's Reach Original Co-Sleeper - Natural:

Another twin mom recommended this as an essential for twins and I agree. Our twin daughters slept in this for 5 months until they outgrew it. It fit right up against our bed. It was a little bit lower than our bed but that was fine with us as our bed served as sort of a lip but it was still easy to reach in and take either of the babies into the bed to breastfeed. Having the babies right there made nighttime feedings so much easier.
The side pockets were very handy. On one side we stored the extra sheets and on the other we kept burp cloths/bibs, etc.
It shows no signs of wear and tear.
I wish it came with two sheets. But I found we really needed three sheets.
It was the first baby item we assembled and the instructions were not as clear as they could be.
It is long but it has to be to fit two babies. If you need a smaller co-sleeper than you should consider the mini.
We planned on using it as a pack and play after they outgrew it as a crib. So far we have not but that may change when they become more mobile. Even if we never use it as a pack and play it was well worth the money to us for how much easier it made our lives during the girls first few months.

Comments about Arm's Reach Concepts Arm's Reach Original Co-Sleeper - Natural:

After much deliberation over whether or not to purchase a pack n' play, cosleeper, or bassinet for our little one to use in our room for the first couple of months we picked this cosleeper. I thought it would be the most versatile (cosleeping, then just use in the room, and later like a pack n' play for home and for travel. Wrong! First, this is large. I'm not sure how on earth I would actually get in and out of the bed with it next to me. Secondly, this wouldn't even work with our bed because the frame wouldn't allow it to get close enough. I thought I would just use it in the room then, however, what you cannot tell from the pictures or description is that you CAN'T do that. The bassinet height is only possible with the side down. :( In addition, I think it's much too heavy and difficult to break down for ny possible travel. I returned it and purchased a bassinet.

Comments about Arm's Reach Concepts Arm's Reach Original Co-Sleeper - Natural:

I'll come back to write a second review once I've had my baby. As of now, the construction and build of the bed seems good. Once we figured it out, putting together and breaking down the co-sleeper isn't too hard to do. my only negative so far is the mattress seems to be of an odd size, so the bassinet sheets I bought are too small for it and I need to take them back. We'll see in 2 months if it works as I hope it will.

Comments about Arm's Reach Concepts Arm's Reach Original Co-Sleeper - Natural:

I love having my 1yo son sleeping close by for easy soothing. He has slept in it since his first night home from birth. With the max weight limit of 50 lbs, this unit is a great alternative to a crib for those in cramped spaces. However, this unit is not easy to convert or travel with (if traveling, use a cheaper, easier model like Graco). It is best designed to be stationary and only converted when going from co-sleeper to bassinet to playpen/sleeper (one time adjustments that lasts months). We will be purchasing a second unit for our 2nd child due in October so that I can have both kids close at night.
The unit fits normal playpen sheets/quilted pads, which is a nice comfort for sleeping long term. Sheets are easy to change out too.

Comments about Arm's Reach Concepts Arm's Reach Original Co-Sleeper - Natural:

I did a lot of research when it came to co-sleeping with my baby (in our bed, co-sleeping beds, etc.). I decided on the Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper and it works perfectly for us. We have the co-sleeper snug up against our bed. I love being able to just open my eyes and see my precious baby sleeping. If she makes a noise or starts crying, I can easily check on her without leaving the room... or my bed. When she's hungry at night, I can easily lift her out of the co-sleeper and into my lap to breastfeed. If her diaper is dirty, we just change her right there in the co-sleeper.

The co-sleeper also has pockets on the side for extra swaddling blankets, a change of clothes, or whatever you need to have easy access to.

I also like the idea that when she gets older, and we can use this as a pack n play.

The Co-Sleeper was easy to put together, and I also recommend getting an extra sheet for the mattress (also sold on this website).

I highly recommend this product for first-time moms, especially moms recovering from a C-Section.

If you live in a small place like an apartment or condo, or your bedroom is already kind of cramped, I definitely recommend the MINI co-sleeper to save on space.

This is our only crib for now. Our baby is 4 months old and she has been sleeping in the co-sleeper starting around 8 weeks or so. It's so nice to have her close by while having our own space in bed and the co-sleeper is nice and sturdy. We don't have a very big place so this has been perfect for us.
