Hundreds of projects teach the basics of electronic circuit design. Very durable parts snap together easily, so circuits can be assembled in a few minutes. I bought a set for the neighbor's kid, and was so impressed with it, decided to buy one for myself.

Price was high, but the smaller versions were sold out, so I went with this one based on the reviews. They were right, the kids were leary at first then amazed at the projects they made and could even make up their own with out following the other project plans. HUGE set, overwhelming what to make first or where to start. Only problem so far is the fighting over it. More of a "team" project. Certain parts are limited so sharing is pretty much out.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My son got the small kit (300) last Christmas after playing with it in the store. I thought it would be another toy put away, forgotten after a while but to my surprise, he loved it. So did the other kids. Actually, they fought over it. Many hours have been spent creating projects and learning why they worked. Not too long after we got this, my daughter broke an important piece and i called the company to replace it. I was quite surprised to find that my part was replaced free of charge as well as adding a few new bulbs in for good measure. I was not even charged shipping. This company and their product is first rate.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
