The hospital actually gave me a set of these for free. They are great for the first two weeks of nursing when even a soft shirt touching your nipples can send you screaming. I was very happy to have them during that time but I have not used them since. I guess you have to decide if the comfort during that short period makes this purchase worth it. For me that answer is yes. Anything that can make nursing more comfortable during the hardest time is worth it. Just an FYI they are not good at catching leaking breast milk.

I got these from my lactation consultant to help with sore nipples. I can say they work well to keep your nipples from rubbing raw. However, they are not discreet like Medela says, they give you a cone .however.. Wear them at home. I also do not like the pressure it puts on the areola if you use the bigger ring. It swells the skin and seems like milk gets trapped. It makes me leak if they are pressed to hard against the skin.

When you first start breastfeeding and your nipples hurt so bad that you want to die...these things saved my life!! They make it so your nips don't touch or rub against your clothes...awesome invention!

I struggled with breast feeding the first time around due to a tongue tied little one, so I was dreading it a second time around. The lactation consultant gave me one of these to help the nipples air dry between feedings with out having to let "everything hang out" while I had visitors in and out of the hospital. I LOVED THEM! The only reason I rated it a four is because once my milk came in this allowed for a ton of leakage and I was burning through nursing pads. Well worth the cost.

I have had prostate surgery and the hormone treatments have enlarged my breasts to a 38 B and more. This problem , according to my doctors, say I will have to live with for 2 to 5 years and my breasts may never shrink to their original size. My nipples are so sore and breasts tender with leaking most of the time. When at the doctors, a nurse suggested try a breast shell and a good nursing bra for support. The breast shell has protected my nipples and I wear a good underwire nursing bra to keep them from being irritated during the day. I would recommend this item to any man with similar problems . The shell is easy to clean and fits very well under the nursing bra.

This is a great product. My nipples were sore and also flat, so these did the trick for both problems. They do collect a fair amount of milk, so be sure to still line your bra with nursing pads. They can also be tough to hide under your clothes. Sometimes the product makes me look like I have cones in my bra. Overall the benefits are way better than the issues I have come across and it has helped my pain and helped my nipple heal!

THESE SHELLS ARE WORKING GREAT FOR ME AND ARE PERFECTLY TREATING MY INITIAL ENGORGEMENT PROBLEMS WHILE BREASTFEEDING. I MOSTLY USE THE SMALL-HOLED BACKS, TO LET NIPPLES COME OFF BETTER AND YET MY BREASTS FEEL MUCH LIGHTER, WITH NO ENGORGEMENTS AT ALL.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR HOUSE USE ONLY, SINCE ITS SHAPE IS NO FLATTERING AT ALL UNDER ANY KIND OF SHIRTS / BLOUSES.

Okay first things first. I have read these reviews and I would like to clearify that you are not to wear these all day that's probly why leahsmom down there had such a problem. You need to clean them after every use as well. Personally I preffer the ones that have the along gated nipple thing verse these flater ones with vents. They work better and are cheaper [@]. Just for future refference.

i had hard time breastfeeding and super sore nipples that i was on verge of giving up breast feeding....my husband researched online about a product that might be useful apart from Lansinoh...He got me therashells and they were like a boon to me...sore nipples rubbing against your bra gives you lot of pain and no room for air circulation ..but this product saved me...:)...very helpful product that I have already started advising my pregnant friends to use it in case of sore nipples..I am not sure of Inverted nipple attachment as i never needed to use it....but overall a good product...
