I haven't started nursing yet as my son is not due until November but I have been leaking some milk and did not want to stain my bras. I bought these because of how soft they are, knowing they would be gentle on tender breasts. Well, they are VERY soft. BUT, they do not stay in place at all and are very visible underneath your bra if you are wearing a fitted shirt.

I really like the washable concept over disposable pads(which I used with my first son). I am going to try a different brand like medela or the organic ones.

I originally put two packs of these on my registry. After two weeks of breastfeeding, I quickly rushed to the store to get two more packages. I leaked a lot in the beginning, and these were a life saver. I especially like that they have a mesh bag included for laundry. The only times I ever leaked with these was when I either didn't have them positioned properly or when I went a long time (overnight) without breastfeeding. I do agree that they are bulky and show a bit, but only with regular bras. I have four nursing bras that all hide these nicely.

When I decided to breast feed my daughter I kept in mind to stay as environmentally friendly as I could be with breast pads. Purchased a pack of these and gave them a try. First thing I noticed was that they were extremely visible under my bra and even with a loose or thick shirt over. Not to mention the lack of absorbency these pads offer. I would leak like crazy overnight and eventually find my chest and bed sheets soaked. Plus the lace sewn on the back doesn't help much either so they moved around during the night when you turn.
And a con for me was washing them. It didn't matter how I tried to wash them they would always have some odor to it - the washer didn't help.

I would not recommend this product.

I have tried 3 different brands of washables, including this, Madela and Gerber. These are my favorite. They absorb well, are soft, wash nicely and keep their shape. The Madela lost their shape, and the Gerber aren't very soft.

These are great washable breast pads, but I wish they were a bit thinner. Luckily my nursing bra has a little padding in it, otherwise these pads would show through shirts like they do in my sleeping bra. They are easy to clean and hold up to all the leaks.

I found these to be a horrible investment. I thought I would try the washable pads because I was going through so many disposable ones. However, every single time I "let down", my shirt and bra were soaked through. What is the point of having the nursing pad if you still leak onto your clothes? I will never use them again. I would much rather have something that absorbs and retains the moisture, to avoid embarrassing wet spots on my clothes. I still to this day have not had any soaking of my clothes with the disposable nursing pads. I was very disappointed in this product. Also, unlike the others that commented on this product, I DID have the cloth stick to my sore nipples every time.

I got these thinking it would save us a bundle not having to buy the disposable breast pads, but instead paid just as much having go through more laundry detergent and having to do extra laundry! Maybe I leaked more than the average person but I changed my shirt and bras at least twice a day using these. I will say they are VERY comfortable and do not show through your clothes but not absorbent at all. The laundry bags, however, I still use alot to wash my daughters toys in the washing machine. Instead of having delicate loads, I toss a couple small stuffed animal type toys/rattles into the bag and toss in the washer. However, only put in the dryer to take out the major moisture and then allow to hang dry.

I used this product with my daughter. It is great, I had heavy milk flow and I doubled these with the disposable Avent pads. They work great as a combination. They are easy to clean.
