I purchased a Pump In Style and used it 8-10 times a day for 2 weeks (my son had nursing issues that kept my flow low so the consultant had me pumping overtime to increase). They suggested the Symphony Rental Pump which I rented from my local BabiesRUs. The cashier told me I could use all my PIS accessories no problem. Come to find out you have to purchase this kit because you need the membrane caps. I can still use my shields and stuff from the PIS as spares so I don't have to clean as often though.

First night I tried it: SOOOO much quieter than the PIS. Smooth, suction much more comfortable and definitely producing a bit more milk just after 2 sessions. Should have done this earlier.

I have no idea why this was in the manual category when you need a device to use it. Upon reading the reviews it seemed as this was a device that could be used for both manual and machine and it was perfect. But when I ordered it and put it together and read the instructions this device cannot be used without a machine. So for the person who had mentioned it hurt the hands, why?????
And why is this pump in manuals when it is clearly not???
I saw the prices of the pumps for this and they are anything but cheap, now I am out money and have a device I can't use.
I gave it a 1 star because I can't use the device and have no idea the quality of it.

Being able to buy separate kits is a relief and time saver in the middle of the night. I have worked with the Madela brand many times within the hospital setting so when I got pregnant it was a no brainer that I would too use Madela and I'm happy with my choice. It seems as though it's much easier to use and stands the test of time when compared to other brands on the market

I got this free at the hospital when my second daughter was born at 34weeks. It was a life saver...it's so simple to use and honestly I am able to empty in less time. The one and only issue is that you have to make certain you have a good latch with the shield, but that's all. I would highly recommend purchasing this product.

It works. I was disappointed the sheilds included are NOT the soft-fit type that came w/ the Medela manual pump. Also, the ounce markers on the containers are clear and impossible to read. Wish they would include their newer containers w/ colored markers. But since my employer provides Symphony pumps at the office, I really had no choice here.

I Loved...Loved...Loved the Medela Symphony pump. It was so easy for a beginner, first being introduced to the world of breast pumping. I used it with my first daughter about two years ago, and will be doing it again with my second child within the next month.

I experienced no pain or discomfort whatsoever...unlike I've heard with other pumps. This kit is so nice...so easy to clean...worth every penny. Never had a problem at all...loved it.

Bought this set because my work offers the symphony pumps in our nursing mothers room. Highly recommend this pump. I get on average 1-2 more ounces of milk from this pump than the pump I have at home. I'll be renting a symphony the next time I have a baby.
