My daughter was a 6 wk premature baby who is now 15 wks old. I was a bit curious to see her transition from #2(slow flow) to #3(medium flow). Not a single choke or gag with 2 tries so far, one last night and then this morning. Feeding was a issue for her for the first month so I afraid it would be too much speed. So far so good!
Product quality is great. I scrub the inside of the nipples and NO cracks or separation occurs.

The quality of the nipple is great. Generally speaking, I like the Avent bottle system. The only thing is that the nipple seems to flow faster than I expected.

Perhaps I used the slowest flow nipple for too long with my son, but it seems that he downs his bottles in a 3rd of the time it took him w/ the slower nipple (#1).

I purchased the medium flow (#3) online (thinking it was a #2 nipple) and it was labeled 3+ months, but my 5 month old keeps choking while eating. I assume because the nipple is releasing more than he's expecting and perhaps he is sucking hard since he's used to the #1.

In any case, I was a little misled by the description online. It didn't indicate the nipple #, it just said slow, medium, fast. I guess he'll just have to adjust his sucking power.

Got this from local babyrus store. Put it on the bottle with milk in the refrigerator at night for kid's daycare use next day. In the morning two large cracks showed up on the nipple. Can not believe this is happening to a brand new product.
Zero star is more appropriate.

After trying 4 different style bottles/nipples prior to these, I was so sure that these would be a failure too... my son was just going to remain a breast baby for sure. Which would be fine if I wasn't going to work this week... however, I was soooo wrong!! I had 2 4oz bottles that came with my Isis pump, so I got nipples in the slow flow 1 month plus for him to try out.. he took right to them. I was so excited! We now are just trying out the 3month plus ones, and I think they are still slightly too fast since he tends to choke a bit, but every chid is different and you need to try out all to see what works best for yours!
As far as cleaning goes, I prefer to wash them by hand to keep them from getting that not so clear tint to them that the dishwasher seems to give them.

AVENT is right on the spot with their age recommendations for their nipples. My son was ready for the slow around 1 month even though he was breastfed until then, the medium around 3 months and now that he is getting around 6 months he has started playing with the nipple again which tells me that he is ready for the fast. Thanks AVENT for the guidance.

They suck, water/fludis leak even is you super close it. I've spent so much money on them thinking they were one of the best I could feed my baby with. But honestly I rather buy the cheap bottles or the store brand ones than something that doesent work properly.
PS. this has happened to other people who I know or meet at the store.
