We bought this along with a mircrophone for my daughter and her friends to sing into. It works great and is a lot of fun. I also like to use it to call the kids for dinner. No more shouting up the stairs!

Very small and portable, so that's good at least. My old amplifier broke. so I was looking for a new one that I could use with my theremin. This sounds good for high notes, but I can't play low notes very well. They all sound like they are in overdrive, and theremins are supposed to have a smooth sound. Also, I've lost some range, some really low notes won't play at all. It might work a little better for guitar, I wouldn't know, I gave mine away, but for a theremin it is bad. I would assume any other electric instruments with a smoother sound, like the electric violin, might also face some problems. It would make a good toy.

The amp was recommended with the Microphone and stand I ordered but the Mic did not work with the amp, it was very distorted sounding and had to return it.

Good amp for the money

Our church does a Hayride Through the Life of Christ every Christmas. Tractors pull wagons loaded with people through 14 Biblical scenes. Narrator on each wagon tell the story. These amplifiers work great for booting their voice over the noise of the tractors. The amps are small, but have good volume. The operate on a 14 volt adaptor so we are able to use 12 volt lawn mower batteries for power. Works like a charm.
I would buy this product again and again

Sounded great, till it got dropped from about 1 foot off the ground by an excited 6 year old and stopped working entirely! Boo, First Act!

Good For a Beginner

This is a pretty decent amp for the money. It is loud enough for practicing in your bedroom. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is because if you turn the volume up to loud the sound gets a liitle bit fuzzy.

A great amp to have lying around
from superior, WI
This amp cranks. I'm not too sure how it's wired, cuz even with the gain all the way down, it still starts to break up with the volume about half way. in any case, it sounds pretty good. The tone is a tad tunnely, most like because of the 4" speaker. It is really fun though. A good amp for a guitar player to have for messing around with. It's fun to just crank all the way, doesn't sound too bad for being a 30 dollar solid state tiny amp. Just don't think you're gonna use it anywhere outside your house.
