We brought our newborn home using this (8 lbs) and I couldn't imagine not having it. It was a little big for him at first, but now that he's 2 months old, the head support fits him perfect. A nice feature is that it is reversable for different seasons.

I sort of wish I didnt wash this before realizing my infant and car seats had ample padding. You may not need this if they do, because then it would be overkill and uncomfortable for a baby. If the seats don't have that padding then I would say this is great. Its soft and durable, easy to wash and sizable. I'm not a fan of the Velcro attached head to base pieces as in time those could wear with washing but it does its job. I decided to use mine for stroller use vs car seat since my seats have the padding I need.

Best support out there- soft side feels great, material on other side keeps baby cool in hot months, the strap covers are very nice, over all look is great and good price.... but I never got to use this item because my baby was 9 lbs. 7 oz. when he was born and didn't even come close to fitting in this! They should post sizes on this item!

My daughter was premature and when she was ready to come home the nurses would not allow us to use the strap covers cause the chest clip was too low. My daughter was born at 5 pounds 6 ounces and after 2 months she has already out grown the pad. I only got to use it a couple of times since she was in the hospital for 3 weeks. I live in a very hot part of california and if she did fit in it i would not want her to use it in summer because she would overheat. would be great for winter. will be giving product to a friend who is expecting a baby

This is a great product. We got this since I didn't want to have to deal with rolled up blankets to keep our newborn in the car seat properly. It worked perfectly since the car seat was huge compared to him. We didn't use the headrest portion for very long since it is on the small size. When he was smaller we used it inside of the head support that came with the car seat to keep it perfectly in place. I haven't used the shoulder straps yet since he hasn't needed them. We're still using this and my son is 3 1/2 months old. He's long and thin so this keeps him in place perfectly. The fleecy side keeps them nice and warm, but as the weather is getting warmer he starts to get a little too warm if he's in the seat for a long period of time. I haven't used the chamois side yet since it's still cool on some days and the fleece side breathes pretty well. The top of the bottom part does slouch a bit without the head support attached, but doesn't change how it sits in the car seat and it's easy to just tug up. I also like that it's washable and dries quickly since it provides a barrier between baby and the seat in the case of any diaper "blowouts"

Bought this for my newborn and it's amazing. He was a little on the smaller size and the infant seat was way too big for him. Once I put this in, it fit him like a glove. No pinching, no squishing, no sweating. And its REALLY soft!!
