This was so dissapointing. It's truly a piece of junk.... the back of it is a tri-fold[...] and you can see the cardboard in between the folds. I had to use a sharpie and color in between the creases to cover it up. Seriously- Save your money and go to the "scandinavian place" or the dollar store... you'll get the same quality for far less money. Shame on Davinci for charging so much for such a terrible product.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

At first I was hesitant on buying black for my daughters room. But after window shopping at a few baby shops, and looking online. Black looked pretty nice. It wasnt as heavy as I thought it would be, which is good. I had to take it upstairs by myself, so I took it up piece by piece and put it together in my daughters room. It took me about an hour. Then I moved it to where I wanted it. Its nice!

[...]The book case looks great, but is quite flimsy. Several pieces weren't even cut straight, giving it a very cheap appearance and subsequently, looks uneven. The price is nice, but as with many things, you get what you pay for. We recommend looking elsewhere.

I purchased this bookcase for my grandson's nursery. The instructions are clear,simple,and it was easy to assemble. When my daughter said black furniture for the nursery, I said, "no way." Now all I can say is WOWWW! It looks beautiful with the Emily crib, toychest and 3-drawer dresser. I was happy with the paint finish and the quality of the product is worth the money.I would highly recommed this product along with the entire Emily collection by Da Vinci in ebony of course.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
