This product is amazing, a true live saver. It makes breast feeding so much more comfortable,and with the latch on strap, I can get up off the couch easier to grab something real quick, like a ringing phone;) I do wish it had easily removable washable covers like the boppy does though.

The pillow supports my lower back and fits snug around my waist. I feel so much more comfort with this pillow than others. My baby sits higher with this pillow making it a lot easier to nurse. I first saw this pillow with my lactation specialist and she recommended it to me. I recommended it to my sister and she loves it too.

If you're going to breastfeed this is a must!! It makes breastfeeding easier and comfortable for both my son and I. The pillow is so soft. Not only does my son enjoy lying on it but it was comfortable against my skin. The two "bumps" on the pillow makes great little pillows for the baby. The only thing I think I would suggest would be to make it a little wider (especially for bigger babies). My son is tiny but I think I would be a little more at ease if it was a bit wider. Other than that one suggestion I would highly recommend this pillow to all new mothers who are breastfeeding. It was worth it. :)

I really like the firm support. My friend has a Boppy and complains that her baby rolled around on it--that's not a problem with the My Brest Friend because it's flat and firm. It provides great support for baby too and when she falls asleep while eating, I feel like she can comfortably sleep there for a while. I can also sit her up on the pillow while I burp her.

The downsides: it is bulky and awkward and not very comfortable for nursing in bed or in a reclining position. It works best in a wide chair or on the couch. The buckle does make for easy "release" but when you're cradling a sleeping baby in both arms, getting the pillow off after that can be fairly difficult. It's firm, so it stays wrapped around you even once it's unbuckled. It's also so wide that it's hard to reach the bassinet to put the baby down if I have the pillow on.

My biggest complaint is the care instructions. It's machine washable but has to air dry (to prevent shrinkage, presumably). Considering that the pillow is subject to lots of spit-up, breast milk dribbles, and the occasional leaky diaper, this seems completely impractical to me. The pillow isn't very usable without it's cover--inside it's just rough foam and even with a blanket laid over it to make it more comfortable, it doesn't fit snugly around you (since the buckles are attached to the slipcover). When it's loose, baby can slip between your chest/belly and the pillow. So during a rough week, you might only use the pillow half the days because the other days the cover is drying. It would be nice if the foam was covered with a liner of some kind and if the buckle attached to the pillow itself and not the cover so that you could still use it when the cover is in the wash/drying. Like other posters have said, it's also difficult to get the cover back onto the pillow.

Generally, the pillow works well and I think its usefulness outweighs its disadvantages, but it isn't without fault. Also, do yourself a favor and get a second slipcover.

I've never used the boppy or mombo but I LOVE my brest friend! I love that it snaps shut so it is snug on you and you don't have to worry about baby slipping through. The pocket is really handy for burp cloths or your cell phone and the green cover is soft and durable when washed. I would get an extra cover to swap out when it needs a wash. It's a must have if you are breastfeeding especially!

Perfect! My baby was in NICU and they had this pillow.I loved it so much I had to get it.I used Boppy with my older child. This pillow way more comfortable, supportive, firm, light, and clips onto you so it doesn't fall off when you stand up. Prefer this one to Boppy.A must have.

I absolutely loved this nursing pillow. It kept my daughter at the perfect height for nursing, was comfortable, I could even walk to another room with her on the breast and not skip a beat. I kept it at my bedside, and took it with me almost everywhere (not the grocery store or the mall obviously). The Boppy was nice for her to lay in, but not that great for nursing unless you are tiny. The fact that the Brest Friend snaps around you is great. Cover easily comes off to wash.
Recommend to any nursing mom!!!!!

This was so much better than the boppy that I have been using for the past five weeks. It stays in place, the baby stays level and can latch on better and it supports my back. I can't even say how much I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!

This pillow is awesome. It is worth the money. One negatives of the pillow is that I wasn't able to use it right after giving birth..the belt was uncomfortable with my stomach being tender. Great back support and it stays put.

I first used the mombo pillow for breastfeeding. My baby kept slipping off of the pillow. I had to use other pillows along with the mombo to prop it up so my baby was in the correct breastfeeding position. It made latching and breastfeeding complicated. I talked with the lactation nurse at the pediatriction's office. She pulled out the my breast friend pillow and all my breastfeeding problems were solved.
The next day we went out and bought the my breast friend pillow for our home and I continued to have success.
This is a must have for all breastfeeding mothers!!!
