The pump works great if you only plan to pump a few times each week. If you are going to pump exclusively or several times a day, invest in a double-pump. It's worth the extra money to speed up a process you'll do over and over again!! It is lightweight though and very portable. Pumps well and fast but takes twice as long as double-pump. One con: the tubing gets condensation in it ALL the time! Very annoying to clean.

This product works really good! you can lower the suction or make it faster. Its very easy to use but the only thing I don't really like about it is that it makes kind of loud noises with vibration but other then that it is great. If I ever need another breast pump I will definitely buy another medela!!

I didn't think that I'd have to worry about my LO latching. I figured, "I'll just go home, and keep trying" but that didn't work. Nipples in so much pain wearing anything over them made me whimper and tear up, so putting LO at the breast was out of the question.
As far as how it is, it's almost 2 months old of a lot of use (pumping as often as you're supposed to nurse) and the pump is wearing down. The first phase doesn't do anything any more, no suction, nothing. The second phase, I have to turn it up to near full blast to even get a pull. Rather disappointed, honestly.

This product would be great IF I could put my son at the breast, but I can't. If you CAN nurse at the breast, and want something small, and portable. Get this pump. It's a good pump, but definitely not for me.

I wanted a single decently powerful pump, that would not take all day to use. This is exactly it. I am large chested, so double pumping is out for me. This is a good quality, affordable single pump that is running fine after two months of daily (several times a day some days) use. It's a REALLY good idea to run it for a few minutes after pumping, collection bottle disconnected, to air out the hose. It dries up and condensation that became trapped, and keeps it troule free. Great pump. It is a bit loud though, OK by me but be warned. It also fits the collection bottles and hoses from the hospital grade Medela I used while Lily was in the NICU.

Upon a friends recommendation & reading the reviews I added the swing pump to my registry. I didn't plan on pumping for another few months, but my daughter ended up in the nicu and I had no choice but to start pumping right away to give her breast milk. My daughter is only 2 weeks old and the "swing" has already broken. The valve to be exact. my husband also had to use a computer dust blower to clear out the clogging tube. I'm so disappointed my aunt spent almost $200 on a glorified medela breast pump and now it is useless! Engorged & frustrated, I don't believe I'll be buying another medela pump.

I have a newborn in the NICU and I have to pump every 3 hours. This pump doesn't express a quarter of the volume of milk than the Medela at the hospital. It's made me think that there was a problem with my production, when it was really the pump with an issue. New moms have enough to worry about than to deal with an ineffective pump. Don't waste your money on this style.

I've used a couple of Medela pumps. I like the double one better but this one fit my budget better at the time of purchase. The only thing I don't like about it is the moisture that gets in the tube while pumping. The people who say this one takes too long are probably use to the double pump. I have had no issues with it.

It's really good pump until milk goes into tube..I had that problem and I thought I might have to get new plump! Let me tell you I found new way to use it. If you received any Medela accessory from hospital ( symphony medela parts ) then good news is you can use both tube and pumb body of symphony pump for this pump. Yes, bump body of symphony works with swing pump and that one have different compartment for milk and suction. So milk will not go into pump tube. Problem slove. I am using it and Its working great. So proud of my self to figer out the solution of this Problem. Please keep accessory of symphony breast pump from hospital.

I called Babies R Us to complain about the weakness of the pump; I should not have to manually express milk every time; and the male customer service rep to whom i was transferred after explaining my plight to a female told me i must not have the appropriate flange, because I also complained of splashback. This thing leaks, and not from the flange. From the bottle. And they WILL NOT TAKE IT BACK. They told me i would have to contact Medela for a refund. I have a 6 month old, and no time for that. I shouldn't have to do their work for the. This is wrong.
