Very easy to install, i did it myself while my toddler napped. Having the two gates is fantastic covers both ends of the steps. The gates are super sturdy and relatively quiet when they close. Great baby gates!

Once properly installed I like the gates. My problem with installation was that I have thick trim at the bottom of my walls. This made the gates hard to get installed where they would open, close, and latch properly. I had to buy wooden spacers to make the distance equal at both the top and bottom.

These gates have worked really well so far. We've had them for about a month and the kids still haven't figured out how to get through them. They are durable and have held up to toddlers running at them. The even better part is that they don't have to be mounted in the door frame to stay put.

We have 4 of these gates to confine our puppy to the kitchen and main level of the house and to prevent the baby from falling down staircases. We love the gates. Especially that they swing close on their own and in door openings it's great that they open both ways. It's also a benefit that you can open them with just one hand. The bar on the bottom has been a trip hazard for guests so at the staircase we decided to mount the gate a little under the first step so that the bar is flush with the step and we don't have to worry about people falling head first down the staircase. This has worked beautifully. The gates are robust and I would highly recommend them to anyone: puppy or baby parents.

We bought these gates to keep my two year old from going upstairs on his own, and to keep him out of the kitchen. They serve their purpose well, and are easy to use.

So far the only drawback is that they snap closed and it makes it difficult to maneuver the house after the little one goes down for bed.

I needed two gates, one for the top of the stairs and the second for downstairs to block entry to the kitchen. It's great that you get two gates in one package. Setup was was a breeze. No tools required. Just follow the instructions. It even comes with a DVD that shows you how to assemble. I read a few reviews that stated that the door would not stay locked or that you can't use it on uneven walls. The problem is that they did not adjust it correctly. The gate comes with a big gap on top between the door and the rail which is a design that was built in. You need to adjust the gap until the gap is closed. The only issue for me is that there is a bar at the bottom that is about 1" high and in the beginning I would stub my toe trying to get across the gate. I learned quickly to raise my foot. Overall a great product at a reasonable price.

I have almost 11 months old son. He is a crawler. Bought this gates and installed them over stairs. They looked good, worked very well. My sone loves to pull the gate to stand and dance with it!!

It was pretty easy to install. I did it by myself in about 30 minutes, including opening the packaging and reading the instructions. It probably would've been a little easier with some help because I was using an extension on each end so it was hard to hold all the pieces, but it was doable. It works great! I have it across a large opening and it fits very securely with the 7" extensions. I loved that I didn't have to use any electric appliances and didn't put any holes in the wall. A friend recommended this product to me and I would recommend it to others.

It's sturdy, easy to put up/take down once it's installed, easy to use. We used the screws to install it figuring they would leave a smaller hole in the plaster & finish than the adhesive pads when removed. It takes a little work to get it level when installing. NOT good for top of stairs b/c of tripping hazard with the bar at the bottom. One of our gates squeaks a little.
