- Of course it's hard to get a good print. Babies squirm and you're afraid to be too rough when them when they're so new. What can you do? That's nobody's fault, and I think we all expected that going in. Wait until baby goes to sleep.

- I saw two mothers complain that it was too small for their two month olds. Of course it was. This is intended for newborns. And it fits a newborns hand and foot just fine (4" x 6").

The product is very great, except it doesn't work the way you'd thing. You have to get your baby to stay very still, curling of the toes or fingers will make a bad print. They give you double sided and a couple extra papers, but the ink gets lighter everytime. I was very dissapointed. My daughters feet and hands are almost too big to fit in the frame and she is small for her age at 2 months. I would not have bought this if it was gonna be so dissapointing. If I want any kind of good print I'm gonna have to buy an ink pad and more papers!

I received this keepsake frame as a gift and was very impressed how easy it was to obtain the baby's foot and hand prints. My son is 3 months old and is an active boy....always moving. I thought it would be impossible to get his prints, but with the no-mess print pad, it was truly a breeze. I get many compliments on this lovely keepsake frame!

I purchased this product a few months after my son's 1st birthday but didn't open it until December (which wasn't smart). I adore the concept but I was unhappy that the frame was cracked, there were scratches on the glass, and I was disappointed that the ink pad was so small since the footprint card is a bit larger. My son inherited his father's big hands and feet so I couldn't fit his entire foot onto the ink pad, which I guess is expected since he's 17 months and wears a size 7, although his hand did fit it was a bit wider than the ink pad. It was difficult to get a decent print especially with a toddler but I did tape the ink pad to the footprint card and added cardboard for support which helped. A word of advice purchase extra footprint cards for errors and a larger ink pad for a toddler (or an infant with bigger hands and feet).

My suggestions for a better product: increase the size of the ink pad, inclued 2 extra footprint cards, and a blank tag with letter stickers so a childs name can be displayed. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with this product and when it was purchased I used a 20% off coupon and paid the price advertised online.

Many people in other reviews have complained there is not enough ink, it's too hard to take a print with the baby moving, etc. If you are resourceful/creative, just Google what makes up this kit and you'll see that, for example, you can buy a Clean Print kit for 3 bucks. Frames of course, can be bought seperately too. Just saying there are alternatives for people that are willing to put in a bit of extra work. Otherwise, it seems like a nice product; seeing that babies don't know they are supposed to sit still for their fingerprints/footprints, just be careful and don't be hasty (maybe use two people like someone else mentioned), so that you don't end up having to buy extra ink.

This is the second time I bought this frame. Instead of using the ink for the foot and hand prints we took photos of our daughter's feet and her hand holding my fingers and printed them in black and white. It looks even cuter than the ink prints and was much less messy.

This product worked PERFECT, even with the first try! Looks adorable in our nursery. As to the negative reviews, of course it's difficult to get a newborn to make a "good" print, but if you have two people to do this (one to hold the baby and one to make the print) it's pretty easy!

I am so sick of Babies R Us. They have been nothing but a huge pain since we registered with them. [@] is extremely better but less to choose from. I can't believe that so many products we have purchased have come scratched, dinged or simply BROKEN!
