I got these for my 11 year old and 8 year old. It took them a while to learn how to use, but they soon got the hang of things. It is a pretty safe toy, although I like an adult to be outside when they use it. Overall, pretty good.

It is asome all you have to do is get on with your left or rihgt foot on the nose . you will relize it is smaler then the other side. once you get you will have the best day ever

The Ripstik is the ABSOLUTE BEST. Once u learn how to ride it(which doesnt take long at all), its easy and EXTREMLY fun. One of the best things about it is that it isnt like a scooter or a skateboard were u have to keep pushing it. Once ur on, the twisting motion keeps it going even up long or steep hills. Its fast and can turn on a dime. I have had FOUR Ripstiks for 3 YEARS and ALL of them r in GREAT shape. I havent had to repare it or buy new wheels once. If u r even THINKING(or not thinking)about buying a Risptik, buy one.(or two)

A few of my friends already owned a ripstik, so i thought it would be fun to have one of my own to ride on. While my pals made balancing on the board look effortless, I am still struggling to stay upright! My little sister has to stand in front of me on the pavement & hold my hands to steady it before even attempting to roll down our driveway. Yesterday,she fell off the board backwards and we are very lucky she was wearing a helmet. Although you may look cooler w/out one, I don't think I'll be setting foot on mine without the appropriate gear. The how-to DVD they included was minimally helpful, but misleading. You have to figure out from watching, not being told, how to do the cool tricks. Overall, this is a really fun product that I would recommend to a slightly more mature age level. While it can be fun for all, younger children would be more likely to topple off the board or get frustrated and upset with it. I have fun meeting the challenges this ripstik provides, and look forward to actually being able to ride it smoothly without needing someone to hold on to.

i use this product to go to my friends house, whats great about it is that when you ride it it's good exersize for your legs, and there is nothing not great about it besides it takes a day or 2 to learn how to balance on it.
