i bought this dvd along with the tv for my daughters seventh birthday. it worked but every time the dvd would upload it would make this loud sound like the dvd was stuck but it worked. a month later the dvd didnt work anymore. i kept it so i can get someone to fix it. i bought a cheap dvd player and i would keep trying to see if the princess dvd player would work and it didnt. i couldnt get anyone to figure out what was wrong then one day it worked again. it worked for two weeks then stopped and it continue to do this for six months. it would work then not.then eventually it just stopped. a year i went through the, off and on again mode. never did i buy any type of disney tv or dvd player. i went and bought her a regular dvd player and threw out the disney one. my daughter was irate. the tv is still working and i havent had no problems out of it and its been two years. the tv is great but the dvd player has been horrible since day one

Considering that I paid [$] + tax for this piece of junk. Disney should be ashamed of releasing this baby tractor noise DVD player. I bought this girly DVD player for my 6 yr. Old daughter's room every time it loads a DVD you can literally here the spinning n buzzing noise like your in a field with tractors running. Seeing that I paid more for her DVD player than my own I would've been better off just getting her a $19.99 one n spray painting it pink & white. Not only will they NOT RECALL THIS JUNK...ITS STILL ON SHELVES TO SALE! smh!!! Don't waste your money on this product its NOT worth it. Get a cheap one spray paint it r wrap it pink this one Is HORRIBLE shame on Disney!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with another review I read - I wish I could give ZERO STARS for this product. This is the biggest piece of junk I think I have ever owned. It is so frusterating to use and has been consistent at one thing - being a piece of garbage. From day one it has occasionally made the most annoying grinding/buzzing noise while the movies play. And when I say occasionally, I mean that sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesn't. You never know when you won't be able to hear the movie playing. My poor daughters had to just ignore the noise while we pumped up the volume as loud as we could (without harming their hearing) to somewhat drown it out. Now it isn't even playing the movies at all. For the past 2 days I have tried multiple movies thinking it just wasn't reading certain ones and have come to the conclusion that it has decided to stop working on us altogether. I would have NEVER bought this, but their Grandma did and was so excited about it that I didn't have the heart to return it - even after I read the not so positive reviews on it. But if I can stop someone else from having to go through the extreme frusteration of owning this product I would love nothing more. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE AND DO NOT BUY THIS WORTHLESS DVD PLAYER!! Shame on Disney for putting their name on this children's item that is so disappointing.

I wish I didnt have to rate this thing at all! Giving it 1 star is actually too much. My daughters began using this in January, as it was an Xmas gift, and already it stopped working. It isnt reading any discs at all. It makes funny noises and its very slow, when it actually works. But for the past few days, it isnt doing anything. Such a waste of money because now i have to buy a new one. This is a case of looks being deceiving. It was so cute and matched their room perfectly. I would not recommend this at all!

My in-laws got this for our 3 year old daughter this past Christmas. About a month after we got it it started making the loud noise others have mentioned, but still played movies. Now, it's been 7 months and it doesn't work at all. Turn it on, no noise at all, and it shows the ? indicating that there isn't a disk in it. I've tried about 10 different DVDs and it does the same thing for all of them. Needless to say I have a devastated little girl. Total waste of money!

We received this as a gift. Very cute, easy to work but is now broken 1 1/2 years after we got it. Buttons on the remote get stuck too.

I PURCHASE THIS PIECE OF MESS FOR MY DAUGHTER 3 YEAR OLD BIRHTDAY IN JUNE 2010, BY OCTOBER THE DVD STARTED MAKING A LOUD NOISE AND UNABLE TO HEAR ANY AUDIO FROM THE DVD. I DIDN'T PRUCHASE THE PROTECTION PLAN AND WAS NOT ABLE TO RETURN OR EXCHANGE THE PRODUCT. IT WAS A WASTE OF MONEY.

This product was purchased for my 2 year old daughter to match the princess tv. We never had any problems with it until recently. For 4 years it worked very well despite 2 kids always playing with it and leaving it on. Now trying to make a decision about purchasing another one since she loved the first one so much and insists on still having princess themed stuff. If a new one holds out for 4 years Id say its a good purchase.

I brought this for my 3 year old daughter , my husband was not to happy about getting it he prefers top of the line everything and picks out the electronics. I finally get this one electronic item for my daughter and the piece of junk would not even play would not get the Dvd back out we had to open it with a tool to get it open. For this price I could have went to [...] and brought 2 that would work just as good, you only pay for the name on this DVD player and the pretty color !!!! DON'T waste YOUR MONEY!

This DVD play works just fine for my 6 year old. I only have 2 complaints...It make a loud hummm when you turn it on & my 6 year old messed with the remote & put some kind of pass-code lock on it. Now it will ONLY play disney DVD's.
