I purchased this product for my daughter's 12th birthday. We gave it to her last night. We plugged it in and tried the DVD player. It played the movie with no problem, however this morning the DVD player quit working. I tried the CD player and it played the cd just fine, so then I went back to trying a DVD and it still doesn't work. I unplugged it and plugged it back in. I used an air can to blow inside the DVD player to clean it. We're very disappointed and so is my daughter. I cannot comment on the tv cable quality because we didn't connect to cable.Needless to say I wish I had read all the reviews before we purchased it. We will definitely be returning this tv to the store.

Getting this tv for my niece was the worst idea ever. I got this as a Christmas gift in late November over the internet. I didn't realize it didn't work until Christmas day. The tv would turn on but that was about it. I couldn't change channels, volume, or settings; the screen just remained green. So I immediately called my local Toys R Us to get my problem taken care of. They gave me nothing but a run around and finally told me to call 800TOYSRUS. I was on the phone with them for literally 1 hour 43 minutes and had to talk to every "superviser" possible before they finally agreed to send a replacement. SO I get the replacement a few days ago and guess what?? The darn thing doesn't work!!! Once again the screen remained one color (this time blue) when on but thats all it would do. I'll make sure to get my money back no matter what. Honestly, please save your money and stress for something worth while. I read all the comments before purchasing the tv and still went ahead and gave it a chance because i thought it was such a cute tv and a perfect gift for my young niece.

We bought our daughter this TV and matching DVD player for her birthday. The DVD player went out in 6 months and was replaced by protection program. The TV went out after 2 years and was not very compatible with cable TV. Not really worth the hassle if you ask me. She now has an LED/LCD which I'm much happier with and cost relatively the same.

Only had this tv for a few months and nothing but trouble, your better off just buying a regular tv for the same price, besides the low quality of this tv i.e. poor picture and sound, and having to switch between which tuner to use to watch channels, the antenna connecter on this set went bad on us just 2 or 3 months after purchasing and customer service for starlite was no help and had no intention of standing beside their product, they told me to take it to a local repair shop. The cost to repair this tv isnt much less than just buying a quality tv that isn't pink with a crown on top of it. my daughter would just rather have a tv that actually works.

Second t.v in one week. First one didn't even work, screen was red and second worked for 4days, now screen is green. I think this model is no good. Probaly was better off buying a used one from [@]like I did for my sons car t.v which has no problem. Going to get my money back today and order a pink flat screen online for only $3o more.

After 2 weeks it started turning off/ no response to remote. Unable to use what I thought was a good Christmas gift for my girls. No returns so we are out [$] + tax. So frusterating!!!!Also TV is not able to be programmed with my regular D-tv remote & the one included is not working. Dead End waste of money

I bought this TV for my daughters room. It worked great for the first year. Now the remote won't work at all. We have dish network and when my husband was conecting the dish cable to the back of the tv, the tv conection broke, so now we can't watch it bc we can't turn the right AV mode bc the remote doesn't work. Starlite call me back and said they could email me the manuel and send me a remote for 25 bucks. No thanks, i'll buy a better tv that won't brake so easy...

We got this delivered for christmas as a gift, when we got home my daughter wanted to open it up so my husband set it up in her room.
It looks pretty neat, something she'll enjoy for a while and the way she is I doubt she'll ever outgrow the princess stuff and her favorite colors are pink and purple so hopefully it'll last for a long time.
The picture is really good but it's a small screen, we popped in a couple new dvds as well and it works great, and has good sound for a tv so small.
My only qualm is I can't figure out how to make the dvd player open and close haha, my husband has it figured out.
The remote for the tv is really awesome says my 6 year old she loves it because it lights up when you push a button.
All in all it's a great tv for a kids room and to hook up a video game system to if you want them in another room on a rainy day instead of occupying the family room tv. She loves it so that's all that matters in the end.

My daughter wanted this tv for Xmas so I got one brought it home to make sure it worked and it doesn't. I got the one with DVD player and it's very touchy it won't play a movie with a DVD that has a fingerprint on it. Then once we found one that would play in it we noticed the upper left corner of the screen is green. They are closed for thanksgiving and then wat I guess I return it on black Friday not something I'm looking forward to. I would not recommend this tv to anybody unless they wanted to disappoint there kids.

Bought this for my daughters first birthday (older version) she just had her 8th birthday and te tv is still in perfect condition!It has even withstanded a few falls!It's gone through a good amount of dvd players, but the tv has pulled through with never one problem! We are giving my daughter a flatscreen for Christmas, but only because she wants a grown up room now, but the tv is still perfect to save for when our younger daughter wants a tv in her room :)
