It is perfect for an infant..soft body and slightly heavy head...I even enjoy it. IT's pretty amusing and funny. it says things like
"whats up"
"Elmo's...so..jiggly"
"hahaha...hehehe"
"let's talk"
"Hello!!"
"yahoooo...eee"
"yippie kaya...YAY"
"ahahaha...shake it up"
"jiggle with elmo"

It works great. Every time it's mouth opens it makes a sound. The funny part is that you can shake it really fast and he'll repeat the same thing....

-my 9 month old fell in love with it! It's SO cute & ever since so many people (non-elmo lovers) have commented on what a cute toy this was. my 3 year old also enjoys it.

The only down side was when we had it in the car & every time we turned or stopped he would make a noise which got very annoying. Other than that, great toy. :)

I bought the Elmo for my son's first birthday, and bought the Cookie monster for Christmas. This toy is the best. Grown-ups may be annoyed by Elmo's voice.... but he was created to entertain the child not the mom. I love that the toy is doing a great job!!! My son is 1 year old and thrilled to play with this toy, and I can't wait to give him this cookie monster for Christmas. A change of voice for me. Every child over a year old can do it it is very easy to shake. My son just opens the mouth with his hands for instant gratification. This toy is worth it's weight in gold!

Its a very nice toy, starting because my son loves it and so do I but sometimes the laughing of poor Elmo starts being annoying for the rest of the people in the household. I've put the toy away few times because of the noise. But it is a nice toy. Its perfect to take along in the car and entertain the kids and fits great in the bag.

I keep this toy in my purse and it keeps my 16 month old entertained when we are shopping or in the car. She loves it and though it maybe a little annoying to the rest of the world. :) It is a wonderful toy for a kid who loves Elmo plus a great price.
