She looks different from the original. Her bow is replaced by a crown. The plain dress is now jazzed up with gems and a pattern. I bought this for my daughter's 4th birthday [...]and it is a beauty! We took Snow White out of the box. She comes with a ring/sceptor. She also has a crown and necklace. I went in to [...]looking for an original Snow White (not this one) but bought this to make a doll cake with. No other dolls look quite like Snow White. Her hair appears as it does in movies and books, however, it is long in the back. I encouraged my daughter NOT to take her hair out since I think we won't get it back in the same shape. She doesn't have short hair! I hope it won't get wild like most Barbie's hair can get. The gown is lovely with gems and the dress appears well made.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
