While playing around with my nephew's newer version, I couldn't help but think about all the beautifully designed decals that lined all four sides of the one that I had as a child. Now this one works just fine, but there's no style. Same exact mold, but too plain. And in a world where I constantly complain about manufacturers making style the priority over substance, this toy needs more style. What was wrong with the yellow register top? If you're gonna make it white, at least add some decoration to it. And why the orange .25 button? It's much too close in hue to the red .5 button. What was wrong with the blue? You had all three primary colors present, but for some reason FP decided that orange would be better in the new version. But I mostly miss those beautiful decals. So when I decided to purchase one for my son, I just hopped on [...] and found the best vintage edition I could. Took some time, but I got a real winner. About as perfect as one could find for a toy so old. And it works like a charm! FP needed to put a little more thought into this design. All they had to do was look at the original.

This has been a classic toy from when I was little, so I bought it for my young boys. It is very reasonably priced but the quality has definately been lost over the years. I was impressed with the price until I received the cheaper version of the toy I used to know, you definately get what you pay for! Still fun to play with.

I had this toy as a child and I wanted my children to have it. It is a great quality toy! My boys (age Three and One) love it! It is simple, easy and fun!

I had a cash register like this when I was a child but on this one, the coins stick in the slots and my daughter got easily frustrated trying to make it work.

I had this toy when I was little and was thrilled to find this for my daughter. I was also very happy to finally find a toy that doesn't sing, light up and talk! Kids need to use their own imaginations sometimes, and these are the best kind of toys for that!

I bought one of these for my daycare and it has been a huge hit with all the age groups. In fact, I plan on buying another one so there will be less fighting over the one we have! We have had no problems with the money getting stuck or any of the other complains I have read on here. This is a great toy for boy or girls.

I bought this for my 2 yrs old nephew...he just loved it!!!
The kids can press the buttons, play with the coins...
It was a different option, I just didn't want to buy another car...

This has always been a great toy. My niece had this about 10 years ago and we only got rid of it because we lost the coins. It is very duriable and the kids spend many hours playing with it. Just putting in the coins or playing store, ect., it's great fun for boys and girls.

I'm thrilled they brought this back. My kids had this and we are getting one for our grandson for Christmas. It is nice to have a toy that parents can spend quality time with their child while they learn and have fun. I'm so tired of all the kids toys having to "do" something, make a bunch of noise, need batteries, and not bring out the kids imagination. Way to go FP!

I had this toy as a child and loved it, so I bought it for my two year old. She wants to play with it frequently, but quickly gets frustrated. It is not as well made, the coins stick and the bell doesn't ring when the drawer opens.
