After reviewing several other drums available through Toys-R-Us, most of which had terrible reviews, I purchased this one. Although the price is undoubtedly a little more than the other products, the sound is great and the quality and durability speak for themselves. If this set can hold up with my three-year old son, it's well worth purchasing. :)

The quality of the product is impressive. My son wanted to play with it as soon as he opened/saw the gift. I do wish however the carrying strap was made a little different. The drum seems to just hang there and I'm afraid if it gets hit too hard and throws it off balance it will come crashing to the ground.

We bought two of these drum sets for our toddlers' second and third birthdays. Both children enjoy the set very much. The two-year-old loves clashing the cymbals together. My 3-year-old gets his older, plastic, cheaper drum, lines his new drum up with the cymbals on the floor, pulls up a chair and plays his self-made drum kit like there's no tomorrow. They love it and it serves for hours of play for us. We decided on getting the two drum sets because we did not want the expense of buying a bass, tom, and snare set only to find they would not be interested in it. It was also priced reasonably enough to buy two so we could avoid problems with them sharing it. I say it's a good investment to test if your children would have interest in something more substantial in the future. The only downside is that if you have an aggressive drummer, you will find yourself screwing in the tuners on the side of the drum head often when they come apart.

I brought this for my 6 year old son and he loves it!!!! He watches the movie Drumline and plays beat for beat along with the movie. This product is great for a young drummer in the making. I actually play myself from time to time.

This drum is perfect! My son received this for his 2nd birthday and loves it! He plays his drum every day, several times a day. I didn't put the cord on it, he lays it on the floor or carries it marching around the house. It is loud but that is what its for! Gives him something else to bang on besides our furniture and cabinets!

My son looooves drums, thought this would be a big hit. However, I thought this would be more of a "band" drum and didn't want to get a full set for $200+ elsewhere. He uses it sometimes.

My 3 yr old son just LOVES music so when I saw this drum set I thought he'd love it. Boy was I right, but he seems to love the cimbals more than anything. Overall its a great product. The cimbals are small so the vibration is short which makes it sound more like a child hitting a pot with a spoon than true cimbals but nonetheless my son loves this product and I would recommend it for a toddler up to maybe 5yrs.

I got this for my 8 year old son for xmas. It wasn't on his xmas list but, he loved it anyway!I know the importance of having an instrument and even though it looked like it might be a little young for him, i figured it would be something to get him started and interested in music. We made some rules so it didn't drive me crazy and I love that he loves it!
