We introduced this cup at about 4.5mths with relative ease. Our daughter knew what to do with it immediately but it took about a week to get anything significant out (different suck reguired then a nipple). Now 3 months later they are still in excellent condition and the only issue we've found is that she can never seem to get the last 0.5oz or so because of the valve. But I LOVE that they are leak proof.

The spout is NOT designed to be teethed on so of course it'll break down if you allow that. And we hand wash all her stuff so parts getting lost in the dishwasher is not an issue for us (although I can see how it would be).

These are the best widely available (first) sippy cups we've found and soon we'll be moving up to stage 2.

These are great cups as far as ease of use and comfort for my little guy. However, They do not exactly clean well in the dishwasher. PLEASE remember to take the WHOLE valve out every time you wash it because I just found mold up in the spout (even though I wash it in the dishwasher after every use). Use a hand bottle washer because you can get up in the spout better. Also, as many people have said, any chewing on the cup and the material will break apart. Although it does not leak- I think I like the NUBY better for older babies.

      My baby took to this cup very easily. She's 5 months and exclusively breastfed so I was very happy when she started drinking from this cup. Haven't put milk in it just water so far. I'm just glad we found a cup she likes we had tried a ton of bottles and she never took to one. It really is spiillproof and easy to clean.

        I love these. I didn't even think of buying another brand other than Playtex when I first purchased these. they barely spill but sometimes my daughter will throw them on the floor & they'll leak a little from the spout, not the sides at all, but it's nothing I can't wipe up real quick. my favorite thing about them is that they're soo easy to clean because they only have 3 parts. ntm, they're wide enough to fit my hand inside, so I don't have to extend the handle on my bottle-cleaning brush. I also just got a 2-pack of the Lil' Gripper Twist 'n Click cups from Playtex & those are nice, too ") I do want a couple different colors now, though, other than the pink & purple ones I already have. I'd definitely buy them again.

          After getting comfy with another brand, our little one tried this at about 5 months. She wasn't as comfy holding it as the other, as this one seemed a bit bulkier for her. Worst part, the top isn't super smooth to screw on, it has to be fiddled with & when you're holding a baby & trying to do 10 things at once, that's an important feature for us. And it LEAKS all the time! Cleaning it is a bear & overall I wish I hadn't wasted the time & money on this cup.

          Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

            After trying many, many hard spout cups, this is by far the best one available. It is a little difficult to get the top "locked" and if your hands or the cup are wet it almost impossible to open the cup, but I still give this five stars. It does not leak and it only has two pieces and a valve to clean.

              I tried many different sippy cups before this one. The ones that don't have a hard top my daughter would pull then nipple out and spill thing contents every where.That is why I really liked this one.

              She is very pick, and is going to be 1 in a couple of weeks and just not has taken to a sippy cup.This one did the trick.!

                  After trying several other brands, I have found this cup really does the truck. My son can bang it against the floor/highchair and it won't leak. I've tried drinking from the cup and it's not difficult. I was originally using a "valveless" brand with a soft spout but the mouthpiece would always move and I'd have to take it apart to clean it anyhow so I decided to just find a good cup even if there is an extra valve piece. I have found these in boy colors too (green, blue, orange). This cup is definitely the top of my preference list!

                    These cups are the BEST I think I have tried every brand of spillproof cups and these are the only ones that are actually spilproof (and my son throws these EVERYWHERE and they don't leak). LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE!!!!!!
