I remember reading this story with my mother when I was a little girl. My mom just bought it for my baby boy who is due in 3 months and I can't wait to share it with him. The book was originally given to me by my grandmother - maybe I love it so much because of the sentimental value it has to me, but I truly think it is a great story to pass on from generation to generation.

My grandson loves this book. I bought it for him for Christmas but I was a little disappointed since I had heard so much about it. Cute story but small book and small pictures. Could use more color and maybe the book be a little larger so pictures are easier for little ones to see. I think this would hold their attention better. But I guess it is still a great little book.

Even though I was not impressed by the story or the pictures, I bought this book for my daughter because of all the great reviews. My daughter is now 7 months old and this is still her least favorite book. I'm lucky if I'm able to finish the book before my daughter begins to fuss. I'm not sure why other babies seem to love it so much.

We had this book 17 years ago when my son was a baby, now we've got another copy for my two year old girl. Sturdy book, with short narrative (as a board book should be), great pictures! The rhyming is not annoying like some books. Just wonderful, both my kids have had me read it to them just about every night. It's always the one they go find when it's time to read a bedtime story. Useful later too as a beginning reader.

My mom read this book to me as a child so I had always planned on buying it for our children. Our daughter isn't here yet, but I'm already reading the book to her! Plus, the thick cardboard pages are great for small children and won't be easily destroyed like thin paper pages.
