We had this book 17 years ago when my son was a baby, now we've got another copy for my two year old girl. Sturdy book, with short narrative (as a board book should be), great pictures! The rhyming is not annoying like some books. Just wonderful, both my kids have had me read it to them just about every night. It's always the one they go find when it's time to read a bedtime story. Useful later too as a beginning reader.

Personally, I never really cared for this book when I was a kid. I didn't really understand the point until I showed this to my 21 month old son. He is too young to know how to read, but he can say the name of an object when asked and he can find the object on the page. He loves the I Spy books for this same reason too. He likes to point out the objects on each page. He has to find the red balloon, cereal ("mush") and the puppets (as he calls the "mittens") I don't think this book would hold his interest if he were not at this developmental stage of "I spy objects". If he were earlier or later than this stage, this book might not be too good. As for this particular book being a board book, that is genius. He can easily turn each page without ripping them. A MUST for toddlers! Parents may get bored super easy, but think of your child's development, not your own.

- I was expecting a large (~9"x11" book) with sturdy cover. The book is small! More like 5 or 6" x 6 or 7". All the pages & the cover are the same material, the stiff cardboard-type. If someone wanted more of a travel-sized or smaller book, it's fine. But, not what I was expecting or wanting.

Never use online shopping with this store. Your purchase may be available online but when you go to pick up only half of the order was there. I used this for convenience and since this was not the case I will not be shopping there again.

I will never order from Toys "r" Us again. Only 2 of the items were delivered. The other 2 were returned supposedly due to a bad address (even though the 2 that arrived came to the same address). When i called the agent she told me i should just reorder them, unfortunately the price has doubled. She did offer to refund the difference AFTER I paid. I told her she should just sell them to me at the price i paid originally. She told me that was not possible. I asked for a supervisor, and after a short pause i was told none are available...I am now awaiting a call back, and will likely never shop at Toys r Us again due to such a poor experience! To bad a customer service is not what it use to be....
