I've used these nail clippers for a year with my son. Yes, they have good grip, but the magnifier doesn't help and just gets in the way. There is a small pin that acts as a pivot point that keeps the nail clippers together, and this pin is always coming loose. I have to use a flat head screw driver to be able to push it back into place. The tweezers are useless.

I thought the magnifier would be really neat, but it warps the view, and has a lot of glare on it, so it makes it harder to see.

Used as a last resort, clippers slip tweezers not good for small issues like slivers. Recommend Red Cross.

We thought that the magnifying glass was a great idea but doesn't seem to be angled correctly. The tweezers are off-centered slightly and it doesn't seem like they would grip anything. I'm returning the set today.

The clippers worked well on my sons nails when he was 1-2 months old and had really thin nails. By 6 months it took several tries to cut through the nail. Now that he is 9 months they began bending rather than clipping his nails and today the metal actually broke! Pretty annoyed that they did not even last a year! The magnifier made things less clear and served no purpose. The tweezers really did not grasp. I wrote to the company and hopefully they will replace them with a different product.

My daughter is 3.5 and we've used them since she was a newborn. They fit well in your hand, so you can get a good grip (to prevent slipping and possibly cutting little fingers.) They are safe enough for her to use herself. We've never used the magnifying glass attached, but it's easy to work around it. I haven't used the tweezers yet, but hope they are just as durable! I love these nail clippers so much I've asked for another pair for my last child, due in 2 weeks.

I haven't had to use the tweezers, but the nail clippers work well. The magnifying glass is pretty much useless though. It made it even harder to see what I was doing.

I was really excited about this item until I discovered that the tweezer part is pretty much useless. Not only do the ends fail to align properly but the magnifying glass isn't placed close enough to the end of the tweezer to actually succeed in providing any magnification. The clippers are decent. My main complaint with them is that the hinge is weak and it is easy to miss where you are aiming. I prefer the same design by the American red cross (First Years.
