I tried probably 5 different breastfeeding friendly bottles with my first child. She had a terrible, tight latch and couldn't get enough from me to feel satiated. Using a standard bottle caused more clamping, and it is crazy what you have to go through to fill some of the fancier bottles. I had one the was even roughly shaped like a breast! After weeks of struggling a lactation nurse suggested this. It's great because in order for the baby to really get it to work they have to open wide. There is a ring about a half inch away from the tip that's a good place to try and get their lips to. After she used this bottle I wasn't as worried about getting chomped the next time she fed. I noticed that with my second child the material seemed thinner, but I didn't have issues with it. We're about to have twins, so we'll put them to the test again. Hopefully they haven't changed in the last two years.

Great product! We use these for our 10 day old son and he seems to like them. We are going between breast and bottle and these nipples are great because they are wider than most. We had used many other bottles/nipples and he seems to prefer these. We have not had any issues with the nipple collapsing either, as some other reviewers have stated. Highly recommended!

I agree with mom of two from boise, ID. I had this brand and nipple flow with my son. He used them for close to a year, went back and forth between bottle and breast with no issue. I bought a new set for my daughter and have had nothing but issues. They constantly clog which frustrates her and me. The last straw was this evening when I turned the bottle upside down because my daughter couldn't get anything out and I lost almost an ounce of breast milk from who knows where?! I tried to duplicate the motions over a bowl and the nipple was still stuck and this time didn't leak. Seriously? Save your time and tears and try another bottle.

I took advantage of an offer to buy two Playtex feeding items and get the third free while shopping for a baby shower using the expectant mom's registry. I presume this item I'm writing about was the "free" item because it came in a separate package. The outside of the package was pristine however when I opened it I discovered that the nipples were loose and the internal packaging damaged. From the condition of the packaging I have to assume the item was not in good condition when someone put it into the envelope, which is indicative of poor quality control. I feel stuck with the damaged goods because the item was "free". Because it was logged as purchased from the registry however, I must go out and buy it again, something I will NOT do at your store, on line or in person. My time is precious and I don't have time for games. If you don't want to give something away, then don't advertsie a buy-two-get-one-free deal.

How you use the product: I decided not to use this product.

Things that are great about it: It is a little wider than other nipple brands.

Things that aren't so great about it: It still isn't wide enough to mimic the real thing.

I have used all of the Playtex nipples for my 2 1/2 month old born Jan 15th, and these nipples are the only ones he does not colapse. I have stocked up on these and the Stage 2. The way to tell the difference is these nipples have a blue tint instead of being clear.

I have been using these nipples for my son who is breastfeeding and being supplemented with formula. They work wonderfully. I have not had any issues whatsoever with him going back to the breast due to nipple confusion. Highly recommended.

I used this nipples/bottles for my first son and it was perfect he had less gas the other bottles and was easy for breast to bottle so I figured it was going to be the same for my second son well it's NOT, Playtex changed the nipples some how. they get jammed up and won't let any formula out or he will be sucking and the nipple will in cave it just not the product that it use to be

These are perfect for feeding my son while also breast feeding. They encourage a proper latch when he's on the breast and are very easy to clean. Also, he has way less gas that when he used other types and size of nipple/bottle combos. I love this product! The only con is you have to make certain all the components are dry, otherwise you have to clean up a leak. I would highly recommend this product!
