It is a cute toy, but unfortunately its batteries were already dying when we received it. It would have been nice if they checked that before shipping it to us. We don't live near a Toys 'R Us and I don't want to mess with shipping it back, so we'll just buy new batteries. Kind of disappointed about that, but I know my boys will really enjoy the Caboose.

My gay best friend thought buying my rough and tumble boys (who happen to be obsessed with Thomas) a musical anything would be great with the added benefit of being able to drive me crazy even when he wasn't around. Both my boys LOVED it! I mean we're talking pushing the song button as soon as the theme ended. I cant say I didn't encourage them taking it along to the pool but never the less the songs ended as well as my constant headache. the bonus, the boys still play with train as if nothings changed.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My three year old received this for Christmas. He loves it. I think the sound Quality is good for being such a small toy. The wooden set is a bit expensive but worth the money. I just wish all of the Thomas trains worked on all of the tracks.
