I read so many reviews on this stroller. Some love it and some don't. Some people say their feet hit the wheels when walking. Some say it's hard to steer. My opinion is this: The reason I bought this was number one for the reversible handle. Loved that. Also, loved the "look" and color of it. I got the red. I know that is a BAD reason to pick a stroller but it had a lot to do with it so I was just hoping the rest would be good. I looked at the Kolcraft Contour but it was almost 40 pounds! Forget it! This is almost 20 pounds. Perfect. Love the padded bumper bar. My son loves holding onto it. Also, when I have him facing me (he's 8 months) he loves holding onto the handlebar. Too cute. Love that the footrest adjusts so he's tiny legs aren't hanging off the end and not being supported. Love that the seatback reclines FULLY in case I need to change a diaper. I don't think i'll use it for a bassinet though it can be used as one. It is definitely on the "bigger" size but I happen to like that. I was never into those tiny little umbrella strollers. I like ROOM. The diaper bag is FINE. It's accessible. The cup holder isn't that great but there are so many things out there you can snap on, etc. The canopy is HUGE. Love that. When I go for walks, I switch the handle depending on where the sun is. It's great. It's definitely hard to lift the front wheels OVER a curb when baby is facing you but it's "do" able. Folds up pretty easily. I looked at the Bumblride Indie and was frightened by the trifold. No thanks. Anyway, love my flyer so far! I was hesitant because all of my other strollers have had "snack" trays but I love the bumper bar so much I didn't mind. Bumbleride also sells a new snack pouch but to put it on you have to REMOVE the bumper bar and put a whole new bumper on with attached snack pouch. Fisher price makes an $11 snack tray which I'm going to try for the heck of it just to have. Anyway, i'm glad I made the choice. It's sharp, practical, and comfortable for baby. Hope you try it!

While I was pregnant I obsessed over strollers doing hundreds of hours of research. I already have a Pliko P3 hand me down but really wanted a stroller with a reversible handle. I was torn between the Bugaboo, Venezia and the Bumbleride. Honestly if money was no object I would have probably just bought the Bugaboo but I was trying to be economical so I kept my focus more on the Bumbleride and Venezia. I decided to order the Bumbleride...I was able to get it in the Bloom fabric which I love for my baby girl along with the Ruby through a special. I Have used it a handful of times and the best feature of this stroller is the reversible handlebar which is the main reaason I purchased it. But the stroller is soooo hard to steer when the baby is facing you. The lock for the swivel wheels is in such an akward position that it's so hard not to step on it while manuevering the stroller. Getting the stroller up and down the curb is such a pain. Also the stroller is LARGE...it has a wide turning radius. IMO the stroller is clumsy. The basket is also a waste of space...even if I put my small purse in there the basket rubs against the wheels making such an annoying noise. I don't know how it maneuvers when the handlebar is facing out and I really don't care to try since the main reason I purchased this storller is so my baby girl could face me. I was so excited to receive the stroller and put it together and now I'm so let down. I'm very dissapointed and if I didn't throw the box out I would have returned the stroller. I plan on selling it and buying me a Bugaboo which is what I should have saved up for in the first place. The nicest thing about this stroller is the fabric that I have (Bloom). It's different and I get alot of compliments on it but other than that I'm terribly dissapointed.

I absolutely LOVE my Flyer! It is so easy to handle, and especially easy to switch directions (i.e. baby facing you or the world). I had looked at the Peg Perego, but it was not as easy to switch directions. The Flyer is lights, easy to collapse and stylish. I always get comments on it!

Once I got the locked wheels in the right direction, the rest was magic! Just lock the wheels on the side your feet are when you push the stroller! Don't forget to unlock the front wheels or you will not move anywhere but straight. I've tried every brand stroller and this is by far the best and most comfy for me and my child! Love the price, love the adjustable footrest, handles, and seat! Love looking at my baby in a 2 second movement, instead of taking the whole seat out! I just wish the cup holder was made to be more durable.

I'm happy with my 2009 Flyer. Of course I cannot compare how easy it is to maneuver to my friend's $ 1500.00 European stroller but it works for me. I love that my baby faces me, no stroller can beat that. The basket could be bigger and more accessible but that's pretty much the only complain.I'ven been using it every day since my baby was one week old, I never worried that I would hit a table in a restaurant as I read here, it steers just fine. Some people are very picky I think, just like I got a sheet for my baby's crib after I read that some people compared it to a sandpaper and that's just a total [...].

I was so excited when it got trough my door couldn't wait to get it out the box and put it together. Since she out grow our maclaren easy traveler. I really did my research on this stroller. I need a stroller that was rear facing,"She likes to see me" and we needed a stroller that had handles long enough for daddy's arm. The only trick I had to learn about this stroller is when you flip the bar to back or rear facing you have to lock the wheels. So if you are rear facing the front wheels lock and if you facing the back of the, the back wheels lock. When your going up curbs all you have to do is step on the bar and push the stroller up. It also has a nice sunshade, adjustable handle bar. We turn heads everywhere we go and she love's it, when she gets in she just lay's on back and chill ;-)

Comments about Bumbleride 1008797 Bumbleride 2011 Flyer Stroller - Ruby:

My husband and I had a hard time finding the perfect stroller and spent countless days and dollars. I'm a little ashamed to say we have bought 7 strollers total. We used a snap n go with our son's infant car seat and loved it until he got too tall at 6 months. We knew we wanted a stroller with the option to face our child since we interact with him when we are pushing him around. This stroller is near perfect, we absolutely love it and here is why:

          *the canopy is HUGE
*it reclines flat for a very young infant
*recline is easy with a simple pull on the bar behind the seat
*the seat is able to sit up really straight (which is how my 10 month old son prefers)
*it is lightweight and folds compact (for a full-size stroller)
*switching the handle bar is ridiculously easy and and it maneuvers well in either direction
*basket is a decent size - I carry our boppy everywhere and it fits nicely underneath
*comes standard with a bumper bar, car seat adapter and rain cover
*simple to set up out of the box
*handle height is adjustable for the shortest and tallest of parents
*includes a cup holder that can fit multiple size drinks
          *nice color options
*footmuff and liner are very nice and worth buying as an extra accessory
          *travels well on different terrains
          *built with high quality materials
*fabric is fully removable and washable
*easy to maneuver in tight places like mall shops

There are so many more wonderful things about this stroller and I could go on and on. The only downside is that i find it difficult to tilt the stroller on the back wheels to jump the curb. This is probably a good thing though since it means that the stroller is hard to tip over. Also, the crotch strap pad easily falls off and i wished it were attached a little better, but it's good because it removes easily for washing.

I get compliments on this stroller all the time and am so happy we chose it. We have used it everyday for 4 months and still looks and works like new. My son is happy in it which makes us happy. Thanks Bumbleride for such a great product!

Do not waste a dime on this stroller. I wanted so much to like this stroller for features like the canopy, reversible push bar, and full recline. I love to walk with my baby and this just made it utter agony for him and me. I could not make it up the sidewalk where the next stone was higher it would just stop dead in its tracks. And if by a miracle it made it, it swiveled to the side and kept going. My wrists hurts from pushing this. The company claims that there is ones hand maneuverability but that is a sheer lie once you start using this thing.
When you see this in the store just pass it by.

We purchased this stroller as our main stroller and love it! Mind you this is not a jogging stroller and is not made to for "ruff" terrian. I love that the handel bar can be switched to view your little one, the basket is large, and the canopy fully covers the rider! The only set back is the wheel lock bar, but as long as you have the back wheels locked you are in good shape, (I never had trouble steering) and you have to have this function to allow the handel bar to change. The only thing I encourage buyers to look into is the NEW 2010 version, it folds much more compact then the 2009

I bought this stroller about 3 months ago and hated it ever since. It manuevers very very poorly, it will not go over the smallest little bumps, not to mention going over any carpet at all. I took it to the mall once and was so frustrated that it wont go on the smoothest carpets. I litterally had to push the stroller so hard that my wrist hurt when I got home. The cupholder tips over all the time, the basket is too small and hard get in and out.I read the reviews before I got it, but figured some people aren't just satisfied with any strollers, but believe me I don't complain much but this stroller has made me a complainer.I suggest you testing out a stroller in person before buying, my mistake was ordering it online without seeing it in person.[...]
