I rushed out to buy this after reading reviews because I'd learned that lansinoh lanolin may be bothersome to sensitive skin, especially if you're sensitive to wool. I found after trying it for about a week, and applying it each time after nursing my baby that it stung a little after application and that it did not soothe sore nipples as well as the lanolin did.

I have nipples that are in such bad shape that they have scabs on them. I bought this product from the store this morning and it is already helping. There is still some pain, but I no longer have to hold back a scream from breast feeding hurting so much. I expect the pain to be gone in a couple of days using this. My nipples already look better as well. Make sure to use a little at a time.

As a first time Mom, I was horrified when my daughter tried nursing and it hurt like hell! My nipples were dry, cracked and bleeding when I started to use this balm. It provided much needed relief within only a few applications and totally healed the skin within 48 hours! It didn't even stain my bra like the greasy lanolin oil did - I would absolutely recommend this balm to any nursing Momma!

healed a cracked and bleeding nipple in ONE DAY! really moisturizes...i even use it to "lube" while pumping to increase comfort in the beginning of nursing. used lanolin in the past and it just doesn't compare!

LOVE this product! It works after just one use. I dont know why hospitals and LC's dont hand out this stuff! It is expensive but worth the try.

I have breastfed several babies over the years and I always end up with sores that make breast feeding excruciating. I came across this product and decided to try it even though I thought it was pricey. It was well worth the cost! This is the first time I have not gotten sores during the first few weeks of nursing.

It didn't work at all. My nipples didn't even get that bad but this didn't provide any kind of soothing effect. I loved the lanshioh brand that the hospital gave me. It worked sooo much better there is no comparison!

After 8 weeks of painful nursing, I had tried everything (or so I thought). I used Gentian violet, lanolin, tea bags, gel pads, etc., etc., etc. with no relief. Lactation consultants and LLL leaders could not help, and I actually even tried a pediatric dentist (ok, so I was searching for ANYthing to help me nurse without pain). I picked up this balm at a local BabiesRUs with little hope of its working, but to my wonderful surprise I got relief with it in about 24-30 hours.

I put a very small dab of the cream on each nipple and areola (less than a pea size on each side) after each feeding then let it soak in. I had a little burning/tingling sensation on initial application, but that was likely from the raw, cracked skin. After that, it felt very smooth and moisturizing. If you are hurting while nursing and you have made sure that it is not thrush or yeast, I would HIGHLY recommend this product!
