As a first time nursing mom this product was a life saver! My nipples were so sore and the Hydro-gel used with the lanolin cream were the most soothing things I could find. The hydro-gel pads are even more wonderful if you put them in the refrigerator before using them.

I have purchased this product a couple of times. I am a first-time mom of a now 4-week old. The first 2 weeks of nursing was the hardest part, my nipples were having a terrible time as we learned how to position and latch. I tried the Medela pads when one nipple had scabbed over and nursing was cringe- and tear-inducingly painful. The pads are immediately soothing, and really do speed healing. A couple of days made a huge difference. After the first round with Medela, I tried pads from Ameda, which were awful and made things hurt worse. I went back to the Medela pads and I healed up again right away. It was especially useful for me to apply lanolin, then apply the pad.

CONS:
They only last one day. I have not tried wearing them longer, but since they did make such a difference for me, I would buy them again.

You have to rinse off your nipple before nursing. This doesn't seem like a big deal until you have a screaming baby at 2 in the morning and you have to go to the sink before you can nurse. Big downer.

It says not to rinse more than 2 times. You have to rinse it before applying to keep it from sticking to your sore nipple. Since my daughter nurses 8-12 times a day, I would have to take it off and reapply multiple times, or throw it out after a few hours. I did rinse and apply many times, and it still seems to have worked well.

After many frustrating nights of latching issues, my nipples were cracking and raw. I used this for 24 hours and it re-hydrated my nipple. I could actually see the difference in just a few hours. It was great!

When I had my son, 21 months ago, we had one good feeding and then one BAD feeding. My nipples were bleeding and cracked and SO SORE. A lactation consualtant came by my hospital room and brought me these wonderful pads. It was like heaveanly relief! They are re-useable for up to 24 hours and provide instant relief. I am due Dec. 15th and will have these ready to go for any possible feedings that may not go as planned. The first couple weeks of breast feeding can be hard and I would have given up if not for these hydrogel pads. They provided the relief I needed in between feedings!

I'm now using these on a daily basis and haven't even tried cotton/cloth pads yet! I've had irritated nipples from initially breastfeeding and these have really helped to ease a bit of the pain after feeding. When I put them in they're nice and cool giving me relief. It's too bad they warm up to skin temperature within seconds though!

Easy to use, easy to clean and comfortable to wear!

From all the products I got for my first time breastfeeding, this was the best on providing relief to my skin. This time I didn't bother to get anything but this pads! Just follow the instructions on how to care for them to extend their life.

With my first baby, I discovered I was allergic to lanolin, so most forms of soothing ointments were out. Unfortunately I didn't know about these until my second child came along. I used these immediately after the first feeding and throughout the first week or two. They were a life saver! Baby #3 is finally on the way and I will not be leaving for the hospital without them.

They are sticky, and did leave a little residue, so I took both off and rinsed myself off before each feeding. I didn't have any problems with too much lint or anything. The one pack was all I needed for the first week or so.

They definitely do the job, and my nipples were thankful. However, the LC at the hospital opened these up and told me how to use them, but I didn't see instructions. She said they could be used for well over the 24hrs indicated, but the package didn't include anything to set them on between uses. I laid them on a paper towel and used most of the time until they began to fall apart within 24 hours. Then I bought Ameda extended use hydrogel pads and liked them much better. Both have some tackiness to hold them on, but the Ameda just peel themselves off when I open my bra. I probably do leave them on too long, but with everything else you have to time and count with a newborn, this just isn't on my radar.

Great product...but seriously...use common sense don't keep them on nonstop...put them on for 20 min or so then take them off...(just like an ice pack) These pads were soothing adn saved my breast feeding experience...I would not have gotten through it without them...but please use your brain and read the directions which clearly states not to leave them on non-stop!
