Description



Compatibility Game is an updated version of a classic party favorite. If the topic is Picture Perfect, what images would you select to best fit that description? If you choose a baby and a sunset, while your partner chooses a dollar sign and a computer, well I don't want to say you're incompatible, but Paging Dr. Phil! And if the topic is Your First Real Kiss and you both select a goat and a bowl of fruit, well, people might think you're weird, but at least you're compatible! Seriously, this is a fun party game that will have you laughing out loud and at the same time learning a lot more about your spouse, partner, best friend, or whoever else you're playing with. Players pair up, and each pair will be given a topic, such as Karma, Sport, or Cosmopolitan. Each player will then search through their identical photo decks for cards that they think best fits that topic. They'll rank them from strongest to weakest, and then compare them to the cards that their partner selected. Pairs will earn points for direct matches (identical cards placed in the same order) or indirect matches (identical cards in a different order) and then move forward on the game board accordingly. The first team to reach the center of the board is the winner, and most compatible. Game comes with 6 packs of 50 expression cards, 100 topic cards featuring 600 topics, 6 playing pieces, game board and game instructions.

        This is a great game to play with other couples in the family, or period. It causes LOTS of laughs. Just don't allow anyone to get upset about some of the choices that your partner makes and it will be a fantastic time! We also switched and played with a brother-in-law instead of a husband and that was fun too! Trying to figure out how they think! AWESOME time!

        We have the original game (2 games, use one board and double the players) and have taken it on vacation, holiday parties, etc. We had to buy two since so many want to play (six max per game), that would be the "weakest link", need enough for at least eight!

        You do get to know your partner, whether spouse or different friends, even children (teens and up). So many laughs when each has a totally different concept of the "drawn word". Tons of fun!

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

          I played an older version of this game at a friends house about 5 years ago. I had been looking for my own copy of it but they had stopped production of the game at about that time. Good to see that it is back, and I am going to purchase this game immediately. I have not played the "newer version" but hopefully it plays the same. My favorite part about this game is how you get to know your partner. You are given a handful of cards and guess how they would rank the cards according to a specific category. So many times you want to second-guess yourself because you are thinking "how would they rank this?" but then "how would they think I would rank this?" Lots of laughs and hours of fun. Only downfall of the game is that if you continually play the game with the same partners, there are only so many category cards and you will have repeats (making the game more predictable, less enjoyable, and unfair to newer players). So switch players up to avoid that scenario. When we played, we always drew names. Its even more fun when you think you know somoone but find out you don't know as much as you thought. Can be a real eye-opener! :)
