We were unsure about getting a diaper pail. Most reviewers seemed to have a love or hate relationship with them no matter which one we considered. We decided to try the Diaper Dekor Plus and, so far, we have been very pleased.

It is very easy to use, came loaded and ready to go. The refills last a good while and you can use as much or as little as you need, which is great. Pay close attention first time you change out the refill though- it's confusing at first but once you figure it out, it's np. We empty ours every other day and our house does not stink. You have to be realistic- there is some oder realeased when you empty it and I wouldn't recommend waiting all week to do so. Hubby takes it into the bathroom and turns on the fan to change it or takes it outside.

Our little one is 3 months. I have read other reviews that say solid foods is a deal breaker so we will see but so far Diaper Dekor has been great.

My baby is almost 9 months old and this does NOT work for odor control. I had to remove it from my son's room because the entire room stinks! Not worth the money at all!

I've babysat for friends and family in the past when the diaper genie was the thing to have. I always thought it was a hassle to sausage wrap each diaper. So when it was my turn to start a family and researching baby products, the dekor system stood out. Definitely one of my best choices. We love it! Everything about it is easy - easy to use, easy to change bags, absolutely no odours, I don't feel like I'm wasting plastic. There's even the added bonus of it becoming a regular garbage can when your baby is no longer a baby. No waste!

We used this for disposable diapers the first 5 weeks of our little guys life, and had no issues with it, smell or otherwise. Really, ANY diaper pail should get changed at least every other day, why in the world would you want to keep dirty diapers around any longer than that!? Love the foot pedal (hands free is mandatory). The reason why I chose this over others is because we knew we wanted to eventually cloth diaper and this made the transition seamless. We bought a PlanetWise bag that fit this perfect, and have no issues sliding the cloth inserts through the lid. In all fairness, his #2 diapers get flushed down the toilet, so even though he's on solids, we don't deal with the smells. Now that he's about ready to walk, I'm curious to see how well the "locking" feature works on this!

I loved this system. I never put poop diapers in it. I think that's disgusting not throwing them outside immediately into the garbage pail. Of course it will stink with poop in it. hello! I also never had it in their bedrooms. I used it next to the changing table downstairs. The foot pedal is great. Love the lock on the top as well. I never had a problem with it and would def recommend this!

Horribly stinky! My baby is only 6 weeks old and I hate to drop diapers into it. It's nice that it's hands free, but I can't handle the smell

I really like the diaper dekor. It is the only pail we have had but the style looks nicer than the others and I like that it is functional after the baby is done with diapers. It contains smell very well and is so easy to use. It lasts a long time too. We bought one refill and it came loaded and we did not have to buy another refill until our son was almost six months old so it is very cost effective.

I love this diaper pail I used a diaper genie previously and it is pretty gross how much you have to come in contact with the diaper. This one is clean and convenient. Changing the insert is very easy as well. Highly recommend.

After reading the reviews on this pail, I thought this would be the best one for us. Hubby did not want to deal with changing the Diaper Genie, and I never really liked using it when babysitting nieces and nephews. This was a great pail at first, had no problems really. But once daughter started eating solids, she quickly defeated the diaper pail. It did not cover up any smell whatsoever. Now, the actually pail itself smells to just plain awful, it makes me gag. We've taken it out and washed it, but it doesn't help. Several weeks ago, we noticed little bugs flying around in the pail when we changed it, they look like fruit flies. Now, these bugs are much larger in comparison and there are a lot more of them, and they are now all throughout the house. I hate this diaper pail. We are now headed out to find a new one. My husband commented the other day that he is scared his hand will no longer be attached when he pulls it out of the pail lol! That is another thing I hate; unless the pail is empty, you really have to shove your hand into the pail. It is so gross.

I've waited until my daughter is 1 to write this review. The first 3 months this diaper pail was great. When she started to eat solid this pail is pretty much useless. I wasted money buying their refills bags and baking soda and it still stink up my entire room. Every time I think of the smell it makes me want to puke. Tried washing it several time but the smell seem to soak deep in the plastic. We now use groceries bags and throw the diaper out once or twice a day. Don't waste your money on something that will gross you out.
