We bought two of these seats-one for my wife's car and one for my truck. My 17 month old daughter has been using them for a year and she has always been comfortable and safe. The straps are easy to adjust and do not twist easily. The seat is extremely sturdy and very well-built and that means safety to me. It is a bit bulkey, but I don't know if they could construct a smaller seat that is this safe and can hold a child up to 65 lbs. It does take up alot of room in the rear facing position, which creates a little problem in a small car. If you read the instructions fastened to the seat, set-up is a piece of cake. The seats were expensive, but well worth it.

I did a ridiculous amount of research prior to buying this carseat. My fabric is different (Matrix)and I got a great price on it. I purchased the Evenflo Triumph DLX and used it for a week. I did not like it for a variety of reasons (dial was a pain in the rear facing position, chest clip was difficult sometimes to undo). I like how the Marathon fits rear facing in my van (Mazda 5). The angle is good and it is easy to install. The hardest part was finding where the LATCH hooks (they were buried in the seat). I was able to install it without the help of my husband. I was able to get all the straps as tight as possible. My daughter seems to like it very much. The only reason that I didn't give it five stars was because the pieces on the chest straps are a little cumbersome.

This is the second Britax that we have purchased and we couldn't be happier. We bought each of our boys a Britax as soon as they were a year old and were facing forward. I read several reviews from Consumer Reports as well as from parents before purchasing this. I must say that while it is more expensive than most carseats, they are well worth it. Plus, how can you put a price on your child's safety and comfort? Yes, the seat is big and heavy - but is that really a con? I wouldn't want a flimsy light-weight carseat for my child. I highly recommend Britax to any parent! Love it and I'm sure you will too!

I've been using the Britax Marathon for over 2 years. I went with this carseat based on reviews and comparing them for myself in the store. I felt like this was the safest option for us. It's bigger than the other options out there...but has not been a problem for us at all...we drive a Rendezvous and a F-150 pickup. I didn't like it rear-facing in the car because it was too high and I couldn't reach or see around it. So I did put it behind the passanger seat while still rear-facing. Other than that there hasn't been any problems with it. My daughter seems comfortable in it and she will be 3 next month and still has a TON of room to grow!! That is why we just bought one for our son that will soon be out of his infant seat.

A little pricey but overall well worth it!! My son would scream EVERY time he was put in his infant car seat. I broke down and bought this seat a little before he grew out of his infant carseat. He is such a better traveler now. It is a little big for rear facing in my jetta, but my husband can still fit in passenger seat. The directions were not too user friendly either. I will definitely buy another one when the need arises.

This car seat is amazing!I've had it for almost 2 years now. It still looks brand new! Cleans easy, very safe and secure! It is bulky compared to some car seats but its worth it. Its very comfortable and easy to adjust.

This seems like a very good carseat. I have a Chevy Tahoe and it does take alot of room in the rear facing position. I have to keep my center console folded down and the passenger seat moved up some to accomodate it.

Love this carseat!! I would recommend it to anyone! I first bought this carseat for my vehicle and my husband just bought a truck so I purchased another one to use in his truck. It took me no time to install it the second time (the first time it took some time because, like anything, it was something new and I wasn't for sure about it). It has the LATCH system which makes it a breeze! My mom has a less expensive carseat in her vechile and I hate it everytime I use it. It's definately worth it to spend the extra money!!

We have had our kids in the Britax Marathon since they grew out of the infant carriers. They are now almost 7 years old (soon to be to tall for the seat), and 4 1/2, and still in the Britax carseat. We haven't had any problems with the seats, the buckles are easy to adjust, the seat is comfy, and they are easy to install (buckle or latch). It was definitely money well spent. Looking forward to using the with our baby due in April 2010!

I love this car seat. I bought this when my now 2.5 yo daughter was born. I never used an infant carrier, and am glad I didn't waste the money on one. This car seat is super easy to install, and stays put. It is bulky and heavy to carry. Since I am a single Mom I don't have two car seats, so I am constantly taking her car seat out. But, honestly...there are worse things in life then lifting a 20 lb car seat. I recommend this car seat to everyone. And when she finally does out grow this seat, she will be in a Britax booster too!!
