I started out using the Medela milk storage bags and thought they were just fine. They were a little rigid and didn't seem to stack well in the freezer, but I didn't pay it any mind.I bought some Lansinoh nursing pads that came with a few samples of their milk storage bags and decided to try them and was so pleased with how much better they worked for me. Since the bags are softer and more pliable, it made for easier stacking. I lay them on their side and squeeze the air out so that they are flat like a waterbed mattress and freeze them that way. Once they're frozen, I can stack them upright and they fit right up against each other very well. I went back and tried it with the Medela bags, since they are, in fact, a little heavier bag, but they wouldn't flatten very well which still left me with the stacking problem. The only time I've had leaks in my Lansinoh bags is when I've put the bag on the stove in a pot of water to thaw and let the bag sit in the pot and touch the sides too long~ it springs a leak that way. Now I know to hold the bag and swirl it around the same way as when I mix the milk in the bottles. Otherwise, I love these things and highly recommend them to save space. They also hold a little bit more milk than the Medela bags.

I just quit pumping a few days ago. I have been using theses bags to store my hard earn breast milk in and in turn, put them in our deep freezer. I have been doing this since September of 2013 (5 months of ep). I pulled a few bags out of the freezer to thaw in our fridge. I came back to the fridge to get something and noticed there was my hard earn breast milk leaking all over! This has not happened with one bag but MULTIPLE! I now have to pull single bags from the freezer and place them in individual bowls to see which ones will leak and which ones will not! I am frantic about this because I don't want to contaminate my milk for my preemie son. These bags are not worth it or shall I say the price reflects the quality.

Good milk down the drain!!!

Comments about Lansinoh Laboratories Lansinoh Breast Milk Storage Bags - 50 Count:
My mom takes care of my son through the week and at least once a day she sends me a picture or a text of wasted milk due to holes in these bags. It's quite frustrating spending the time to pump and the money to store it just to see it wasted. My sister and sister in law both have had to throw milk out due to the same issues and that was with the old design however, this "new & improved" design doesn't seem to be any better from my experience. I don't know the ratio of good to bad bags but when 4-5oz of milk has to be thrown out each day it doesn't really seem to matter much. Time to find a new way to store all my milk!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Best milk storage bags
These are the best milk bags. Easy to use and label. They freeze and thaw well. Have never leaked.

Leaks for sure it does. Wish i had known. I used this brand before but the new bag designs are horrible. I am very unsatisfied and unhappy. If it ain't broken dont fix it.

Serious flaw in new bags, back to the old design please!!!

About Me First Time Parent
I first received these bags at my shower and they worked great; the old bag design and packaging with the easy grab "tissue box" opening. That was convenient and I miss it, however, your "new & improved" bag design has a serious flaw in it! Over half of the bags I have pulled out of my new box have leaked at the bottom corners. I have taken to placing them in the fridge in a bowl for 24 hours prior to freezing them so that I can swap any leaky bags without losing all of my milk. That is crazy! So fed up with precautionary planning for consistent leaking! Guess I'll have to do the same for thawing them out!

Makes storing my breast milk easy to do and breastfeeding simple
Disappointed in quality
By 1st time mommy
I am very disappointed in this product. I have found multiple bags that have become punctured or tear after freezing. I keep everthing neat and organized so its very frustrating to have to dump 4-6oz. I would only recommend if you do not plan on using to freeze.

I only put 5 to 6 Oz of milk in, froze them flat like the directions said and still half the bags leaked when defrosting them. The seams on the side leaked and the bottom some how got a small hole. I used these for 12 months and will not use them again. Waste of my baby's milk and waste of my money.

New design guarantees leak everytime

About Me Breastfeeding/Pumping Momma, First Time Parent
For the past week I have been thawing out previously frozen breastmilk. Without failure, each time the bag leaked. Ounces on ounces of my "liquid gold" have been wasted because of this flaw with the new bag design. Originally, I was thought that I was doing something wrong. This past weekend, I finally reached my breaking point, was fed up with it, so I decided that I would check to see if anyone else was having this same issue. It is with great relief to read these reviews. Prior to purchasing new bags, I would have sworn by these bags for storing breastmilk. Now I would not recommend these to anyone! Until this flaw is fixed, I am forced to go with a different brand of breastmilk storage. Do not waste your money buying this current design, each time they will leak. Very disappointing to say the least.

Just purchased a box of the "new and improved" bags and already I am not happy with them. While we had some leaking/holes from previous bags, we were fortunate that it didn't happen all that often, but when it did, we lost a significant amount 2-3 oz out of 4. Opening the new bags if very difficult. It requires more time to get the bags fully opened. The three seals take a while to remove a day and once they're off, you still need to separate the perforation even more.New bags are very thin. I miss the "tissue box" like opening to get to the bags. It allowed me to pull out one bag at a time but now who knows how many will come out at a time. I ended up cutting a slit in the top, hoping I didn't cut any bags. I hope that I don't have any leaks once I started thawing these bags. As a mother of twins, my time is very important to me, as well as my breast milk. Don't know why you switched designs. Poor decision.

Do NOT buy these! Every time I thaw out my milk, I get leaks in the corner of the bags and milk is everywhere. It's very frustrating! Do not waste your money on these!!!!!
