My daughter absolutely loves this toy! We have the Ariel doll too and she will not take a bath without them. When I bought it I didn't really pay attention that the colors changed so it's not a big deal if it doesn't work. I haven't even noticed....my daughter certainly doesn't care.

This toy will not change colors with just a splash of cold water, as others have said. I set a large cup of ice water on the tub ledge for my daughter to dip her in. Her hair and swimsuit will then change back and forth. My three year old loves this toy, we have Ariel as well.

I just bought this for my daughter for her 5th birthday. She loves Disney Princesses, and loves to play in the bath, so it was a perfect idea. However, we tried it last night and needless to say we were both VERY disappointed! From reading the outer package, you'd think this was a simple color-changing toy. But when I read the directions inside it said to use ice cold water to make the color change. Even after taking it out of the bath tub and running it under cold faucet water, the toy DID NOTHING! And besides, what child is going to use ice cold water in the bathtub? I was very upset, having spent [$] on this toy when it's main feature failed to work. And my daughter was very upset as well, she has plenty of regular old bath toys and she was expecting this one to be special. I'm glad I thought to check here for reviews, even after the fact. I'm glad some people had a better experience with their toy, but I'm also glad to hear we weren't the only one with a defective one.

Nice to play with in the tub, and she loves cinderella, but as others have said-needs ice to change color. oh well-not bad but nothing special either.

It won't change color even when you splash cold water on it. It is supposed a bath toy, if your kid want to see it changes color, then she have to bath with icy water which is impossible. So my solution is to put it in freezer, the color will changed. Take it out from the freezer then go to bath. The color will changed back to normal with warm water.

As others have said this doll does not work. The hair and dress do not change color one bit. My 5 year old is very disappointed. I would not spend my money on this product.

You have to put ice on the dress to make it changes colors! A splash of cold water like it advertises will not do a thing.

Other reviews said this doll didn't work as promised (not changing color in cold water), ours does just fine! But it doesn't matter, as long as the girls can play with a princess in the tub, they are happy!

My daughter LOVES this toy! We had to go and buy another one in the set because my girls were fighting over this one! The "hightlights" in the hair change color but I wasn't aware that anything else was suppose to. We also looked into the diver Barbie but she wears a very small bikini and has a tatoo on her tummy so we skipped that one! Not at my girls age!!
